Batman (also known as Batman: The Movie) is a 1966 American superhero film based on the Batman television series, and the first full-length theatrical adaptation of the DC Comics character Batman. Released by 20th Century Fox, the film starred Adam West as Batman and Burt Ward as Robin. The film hit theaters two months after the last episode of the first season of the television series. The film includes most members of the original TV cast, with the exception of Julie Newmar, who played Catwoman in first two seasons; for the movie, she was replaced by Lee Meriwether.

"June 11 "Some days, you just can't get rid of a bomb." I couldn't believe it when I heard the news that Adam West passed away. He was one of these actors I knew all my life starting with The Fairly Oddparents and later on with Family Guy. Also, even though I haven't watched much of the original Batman TV show, I've seen some of it and liked what I saw. This is the first time I've actually seen this movie though and for what it is, it's entertaining. It is overlong at times and it kind of f"

"Re-watch - June 30th I noticed this was leaving on July 1st, so I figured I'd watch it with the kiddo so she could see the original adaptation of Batman. My thoughts haven't changed from the last time I watched it, but it was good to see her enjoy it. I was especially amused that when she saw the shark hanging from Batman's leg she turned to me & asked if it was a foam shark. Can't get one past her. ;) R.I.P.
