3:26pm: Random musing
From getting back into reading coupon sites I see a lot of people who also post their weekly menus.
Things that surprise me:
-Vegetables. Very rarely mentioned, or are they a given on the side?
-Soup as a main course. How is this filling?
-Heavy emphasis on bread related stuff. Hm.
I guess I am a very boring person, when I cook dinner I usually make rice, vegetables, and a main dish. Main dish = steamed fish, tomato with eggs, steamed eggs with duck egg, fried or Chinese marinade chicken wings (or eggs), shrimp, salmon, other meats etc. Just seems like if I were to follow those menus people lay out that would be way too much work. I take 30 minutes or less to cook dinner by putting rice in the rice cooker, then cooking the vegetables, then the main dish, or simultaneously cook the vegetables and main dish.
