| 5:50 pm | On the state of GryMor's recreational activities Anime:I've been catching up on Macross after seeing a Macross Frontier episode on youtube (and having now seen through episode 12, fansubbed). Macross Frontier is good, Macross Zero was really good... Macross 7 is like a train wreck, I know I should, but I can't actually look away.MMORPGs:EvE is in a holding pattern, faction warfare wasn't quite what I was expecting, and I just don't have the energy for EvE's risk profile at the moment. Just started up a new WoW character (Draenai Paladin named Emp on Silver Hand) after approximately a year of not logging in, apparently I've missed a bunch of nice refinements. Anyone out there playing Age of Conan, any opinions?FPS:Had a TF2 binge, melting Medics is a lot more fun than playing them.Strategy:GalCiv was fun, but short and shallow. Same for Sins of a Solar Empire. Haven't seen much worth sticking with since the Supreme Commander expansion.Reading:If you haven't been reading Peter F Hamilton, you should start, now. Other than that, not much beyond some bad fanfic (no good Ranma/BSSM/Mythos crossovers since Reflections of Ruin).Movies:Movie binging soon, see  lithera's post.Gaming:Scion and Changeling are nice, if a bit infrequent. Not much to say, other than D&D 4E looks like a nice board game, having sacrificed all other (rules aided) play styles at the alter of tactical combat balance. | 9:34 am | Norwescon 30 Is over, done with and complete... Best con I've been to in a few years. The biggest problem? Sakura-con was the same weekend, which for me had three deleterious effects: it robbed me of my chance to go to Sakura-con, it robbed Norwescon of the presence of the Foglios, and finally, it stole sharkcowsheep from us. For all this I eternally curse the dark circumstances that lead to the ill fated conjunction.So, does anyone know a place that does leather repair? My favorite trenchcoat has taken a beating and a few rips. Leather cleaning would also be helpful, sordidatus mentioned something, but I can't remember where it was. | 5:46 pm | Weeeeeeeeeeeeeeee I think I'm alergic to TCC, had an all hands with the org my team got moved under, and was on the verge of sneezing the entire time, 10-20 sneezes on the elevator geting out, and then nothing, completly cleared up.Anyways, currently sitting in the B&N in Pacific Place, will shift over to Von's bar around 7pm, so if you are, for whatever reason, particularly early, swing by.lithera, I have your Ultimate Spiderman 100, hopefully thats enough incentive to get you down to Von's tonight, just in case steak and my own personage don't quite cut it.sharkcowsheep, good luck in class! | 4:28 pm | MMORPGs So, my WoW guild on Silver Hand, Knights of The Marianas Trench, finally took down Razorgore last friday...What have I been doing with my MMORPG time in the week since then, reequipping for tonight's battle? Getting gold for my epic mount? Helping someone get their Darkmoon necklace?None of the above, I've been playing City of Heroes/City of Villains... Anyone still playing either? I have Sailor Sun on Infinity (34 Fire/Energy Blaster) and Sammy Smith (17 Robotics/Force Fields Mastermind) on TriumphA few other alts on other servers, but I haven't touched them in over two years.For the morbidly interested, Sailor Sun is loosely based on the Sailor Ranko fanfics and Sammy Smith is Machina (from the Cannon games) gone bad instead of gone good.
