hey,so i have a podcast that i think could be enjoyed by the members of this community. it is a mixtape inspired show, featuring a new mix of music every saturday. i try to offer up a healthy amount of different styles of music in the indie, emo, folk and rock genres, although every once in a while i plan to step out even further with maybe a pop punk episode or something. also in the future i hope to branch out even further and possibly up an interview or something. but if you think you would enjoy the show, you should listen. i mean its free, and it might be some songs you have not heard right, this weeks show featured the songs:01. Zookeeper - I Live in the Mess You Are02. The One Am Radio - In the Time We've Got03. Jessica Lea Mayfield - We've Never Lied04. The Forecast - Broken Bottles05. Annuals - Talking06. my new favorite hobby is coasting on my bike listening to the aquabats, and then coming home and watching dragonball z and eating ramen. i feel like i need to worry about my report card coming in the mail or something
i'm waiting on the phone call that says you're coming home with willing hands and a heart that won't give up on this again. so many things we've held precious were left here beside this open door. now who is to own them? without us, what can there be? i'm waiting on the light that once filled your eyes and heart with hope. but every time i reach, i am crushed beneath the weight of your words. i know now what hell is. i've felt it's touch. i've seen it devour the one i love. i've run into the fire and come out empty handed. my heart is broken. tonight. i will wait for you for the last time. don't give up, don't let me down.does anyone have any idea what that passage is from, a song or poem maybe. for whatever reason it is my aim profile content on this old computer, and i can not for the life of me figure out what it is. whats weird is, this is not my computer, yet it has all my information in the cookies and all that, and i dont even thin it has been plugged in in years. its totally shattering my universe right now

i finally saw danny boyles scifi film sunshine today, and i honestly loved it. i thought, actually , that it was a lot better than 28 days later, and i think that it made my top 5. danny boyle definitely has an eye for telling an amazing story. i recommend everyone check this out. i know you wont like it as much as me probably, but i can assure you, you will enjoy it
i have yet to write about my adventures at south by southwest, and in all honesty i might never get around to it. but i do want to say that if there was any subliminal nonsense that nada surf might not be my absolute favorite band for the rest of my life, i put that to rest. i saw them three times last week, each show its own entity, each one its own experience. i was put on the guestlist for their big cedar door show with tapes n tapes and rogue wave, by daniel lorca, whose name is also "the reason i learned to play the bass" in many a former journal entry. i was awestruck the whole weekend, i was living in against the backdrop of a film, soundtracked with the sounds that have pressed and stretched me, molded me for over a decade now into the person that i think i am, and also the person i will become in the future. fuck me, i feel good right now, i just wish i can rplay that weekend over and over. everyone love this band now, make me feel like ive had it right for a long time nowthey played the blankest year at the third show i saw them at, and everyone sang the chorus in unison on the rooftop of maggie maes, i have to be honest, it was pretty brilliant
up until last night i hadnt really found my girl this year for amid. i liked a'siah and carly, and i think brooke sings awesome songs, but never really stuck out tonight. last night, brooke became my absolute number one draft pick, that being of course behind jason castro and possibly michael johns, they are my finale picks. but this version of love is a battlefield blew me away

a few points of interest i would like to sharea. the last two calls in my allcall list, or my received, made and missed calls, were from tuesday when i voted for jason castro on american idol, and then wednesday when i voted alexandrea lushington also for american idol. is that merely further proof that i have no life whatsoever.b.c.
i just had an epiphany, i think i am schizophrenic manic depressive. thanks a lot philip k. dick. in all honesty though, i do think i might have cracked under pressure.
so, i got really drunk, smoked a pack of cigarettes, and made a mixtape tonight. i consider it a social experiment. to the naked eye, probably there is no meaning whatsoever. to the closed eye, though, all the clarity in the worldSide A.001. you know what, i know that im a nerd, you dont have to tell me that. the fact of the matter is, i started watching american idol around third season, and i made the excuse that it was important to understand all facets of music, and i think that idol is a pretty honest source of what current mainstream looks for, what they think will sell albums. i have to be honest though. i was really into constantine, and then i got really excited for daughtry which i think is what made me turn from observer to fan, and then even more excited by last season with guys like blake lewis and chris sligh (its weird, i dont think i have ever gotten behind a female contestant...), which at that point i was no longer a fan, but someone who takes that shit to seriously. this season, like the rest of america apparently, i was pretty bummed out when josiah leming wasnt chosen. i think that although he needs work, he could definitely not only put out, but write himself, a great album. as of last night i am no longer bummed out, because i think i found my get behind this year. jason castro might very well be the best singer, in my opinion of course, i have seen on this show yet. of course day for a daydream isnt conclusive evidence in that statement, but i think this guy is going to be great. not to mention he looks like daniel lorca, [but that has nothing to do with the fact that i am oh so in love with jason castro
