Be patient and loving with yourself. (original) (raw)
I've been making crochet characters from The Walking Dead, I shared Beth and Daryl already but now I've added Carol, Tyreese, Michonne, her walker pets and Judith! I am so proud of these little guys! Carol comes with her knife, Michonne of course comes with her katana and hooded cloak, even a chain to hold her walkers and Tyreese has his hammer and beanie, Judith gets a blanket and harness so she can be carried on the backs of her babysitters! Be warned there are TONS of photos I just keep snapping away like it's a real photoshoot but I thought I'd just share them all! I made all the pictures clickable so you can enlarge them :)

I know I usually do one whole big post with all the things I made but I just finished Daryl and had to share!
I finished my crochet Daryl Dixon! He has his crossbow and arrows, a knife, and his red bandana, he also has his mole! Tons of photos under the cut! I made his crossbow with a pattern I found off Ravelery, his arrows and arrowcatch thing I made using wire and electrical tape. The arrows are small dowel rods with feathers on the end.

For my Christmas craft this year I made some Pinecone-Gnomes. My boyfriend picked the colors for the camo gnome.
I made a Elsa inspired hat for a friend's little girl. This thing actually got whipped up in a day or a day and a half, I can't remember but it was super quick.

A Batman Scarf for a girl I went to High School with, this was my first time learning to crochet images, I've since learned a better way to do this technique but isn't that how it always works?
2 Sharks Hat. I made one of these for my cousin a long time ago when I first started knitting and I'm sure it was a tad too small but he wore it to so many San Jose Sharks games and I got a lot of orders for them afterwards so I thought he deserved a new one, and someone also ordered one for a raffle at their Christmas party.
A dog sweater, turned out slightly too big but haven't gotten the chance to resize and fix it yet.
This hat is inspired by a hat Beth Greene wears in The Walking Dead. I started to run low on yarn and didn't want to start over because this was the only aran color I had and I thought white would be too bright so it's not exactly how the hat is that she wears but I like it and it's warm.
My nephews love the ninja turtles and Batman so I made them each a hat that is also a mask. I haven't seen them in them yet but my sister-in-law said they love them so they must fit (I seriously need to steal someones kid soon to size my hats :) lol)
My boyfriends sister came over with a stash of yarn that she didn't want anymore so I put some of it to use right away and made an owl sleep mask. I was using it for awhile until the side of the elastic broke and I need to fix it but, I actually really like it.
A friend from Elementary school ordered a vest with a dinosaur on it.
I made an acorn for the card for my nephews birthday when I made the squirrel.
For Christmas this year I bought some $1 frames from Michaels and made a knitted frame to go around it and then embellished them with little things to fit the themes. I loved how they turned out especially since the idea was conceptualized in my head. For my Uncles and my Dad's wedding's I chose to do beach themes since they both had their weddings at the beach and for my Mom's and Brothers I also did a beach theme but instead of shells it was buckets and sandcastles.
I made my first doll from the AmiguruME book which is a book where you should be able to make practically anybody so I chose to make Beth Greene from The Walking Dead
for obvious reasons
and have already started on Daryl Dixon. I loveeeeee making these dolls so I can't wait to keep trying new people and even some of the same people just with different outfits.
I made an owl hat for one of my boyfriends friends.
I made a couple zombies from the Knit your own Zombie book and these guys were fun! I made a zombie for my boyfriend which actually ended up getting sold but he didn't mind and then I also made a hippie zombie and played with some acrylic paint to add blood and dirt
I made a pair of socks for Bobby's mom, I knit both of these at once and used some stash yarn which is why they are different colors.
Bobby asked me if I could make a quick hat for a newborn baby so I whipped up a football beanie real quick.

This is a challenge for landofart the challenge was to take photos of patterns in your everday liffe and use them in icons or headers. I chose to make icons. This was such a fun challenge! I think I may have to do this again for other graphics.
Edited to add: When I went to use one of these I found out some of them were over 40 kb I saved those as jpgs and now they should work.
