tattoo design this post is purely for the benefit of sammi so i can show you my tattoo design which i have drawn on with eyeliner with my left hand so it's not very good but it gives you an idea, just wanted to ask what you think of it!

it's the eye of horus and it's an egyptian symbol representing power and preotection and the 6 senses (the 6th being thought)
so what you think of it sammi?

how can anyone say johnny depp is not their cup of tea!?
i went to bed at 3.30am on monday night/tuesday morning then got up at 7.45 and due to insomnia didnt sleep for 2 nights at all , finally fell asleep at about 1.30ish last night and slept til noon! thats like 65.5 hours awake! i was getting delusional though, hearing things and seeinghorrible creatures everywhere!!

my new friends!!! i got some new friends!!
so on tuesday the 7th november i went to borders down oxford street at abouta quarter past 8 in the morning and i bought a copy of stephen kings nw book cisey's story, me and lesley waited for stephen king to show up as it was his book signing that day! he came at 1pm so we finally got to see him, shook his hand said hi and got my book signed - but he wasn't doing persoanlised ones and you couldnt take pictures of him properly (could only take them whilst in the queue) and you didn't really get a chance to say anything to him apart from hi! so here are my pictures of him:

then later on in the evening i went with dan to a talk by slex kapranos of franz ferdinand! he has a book out called sound bites and first he read a few extracts from it - he's a good writer, although well i guess thats obvious cos of his song-writing though writing a book is somewhat different to that and well it is another type of writing he is good at then! - then a guy from the guardian paper (for which alex used to write a column) was interviewing him and it was really good cos they were both sitting there relaxed on the stage and it was a very informal interview - more like a friendly conversation and the guy doing the interview was really good - asked good question to which alex, of course, gave good answers! kep everyone entertained (ooh that sexy scottish accent!) oh and i must say that alex was looking exceptionally hot with an oh-so-sexy beard!! Dan left as soon as the talk part was over leaving me by myself so i bought a copy of the book and got in line to get it signed, alex signed his book and so did Andrew (andy) Knowles who is a support member of the band and was an art student so did the illustration in the book sound bites. this book signing was somewhat differnet to the stephen king one i went to earlier in the day as i got to have a little talk with the guys and got my picture taken (me and this other woman who was also on her own took pictures for each other) it was a very enjoyable and relaxed signing, oh and this one girl baked them a cake on which it said Bake Me Out - hmm in case you dont understand why she did that its cos the book is about food (no alex is not trying his hand at ebing a food critic - its actually a really really interesting book and you should go out and buy it!!) and also Franz Ferdinand have a song called Take Me Out!! ok then so here is my picture with alex (on the left), me (centre) and andy (on the right):

today i went to the cinema with my brother and one of my sisters to watch "Borat!: Cultural Learnings of America for Make Benefit Glorious Nation of Kazakhstan" - that is one heck of a long name for a movie film!!and it was absolutely hilarious!!!!!

now i am tired but am planning on starting on my advanced social psychology essay!!!

forgot to say something!
i am now so in need of money that i was sitting with my mum and my sister and i was looking through the newspaper and went "oh look they give you £20 for donating sperm, i wish i was a man!" LOL

although i am not too desperate cos wen my sister said "you can donate eggs too raj" i went "i don't think so it's not the same thing, women are born with a set number of eggs but a healthy man can continue making new sperm forever!!" duh common sense! LOL!!

there was also paid work for twins to participate in a study but unfortunately it's males only *sobs*

CARUS AND SETH!!! The night of 1st november 2006 is one which i will definitely never forget - it was so great!
me sammi and lesley went to see carus thompson perform at 12 bar club and he was amazing! and then towards the end he bought on a special guest who was none other than the gorgeous mr seth lakeman himself!!
they were both amazing (as was benji, alhtough i must admit i have never heard of him before) and the other 2 performances that night were great too - niall something and sarah gilespie!

me and sammi went upstairs to use the loos and lesley waited downstairs and well seth walked past us onhis way to the gents so seth sammi and myself all exchanged a "Hi" then it was my turn to go to the toilet but i said i wanted to wait cos i wanted to see seth again so sammi went to the loo and i met seth!! he was great! we had a little conversation i told him that we been to see him before, were over the moon when he came onthat night and will be seeing him again in february!! he posed for a picture too but unfortunately it didnt save as i had no memory left on my phone!!!

then me and sammi went back down and told lesley about meeting seth. then we went to buy our carus cd's and carus was standing there - didnt know if i'd have the guts to speak to him! i gave the guy selling the cds £20 so i needed "10 back in change and carus pulled £10 out of his pocket and gave it to me and i started talking to him! deleted a picture off my phone so i could get one of him, i asked him and was about to take it when he goes "hang on, don't you want to be in it too?" and i was like £yeah sure that'd be great!" so i got a picture with him! then sammi, lesley and i all got our cds signed by him!

well imagine seeing two totally talented guys like carus and seth in one night and talking to them both!

am going to try to put some pictures here now, ones which i took on the night but unfortunately i dont have a camera so was using my pohone instead and well the photo quality of my phone is rather shite to be honest with you (actually i wen i was about to take my pic of seth i asked him to move and asked why and i told him my phone camera is crap so he took my phone to check it out and well agreed!)

work and scary movies!! its almost 2am on a friday night and sad little me is in front of my computer trying to work! am looking for a journal article (religiosity in youth: a personal control against deviant behavior) but cant find it anywere - its from 1975 and noone has put it online yet - actually its available in one place but will cost me $29, hopefully we have it in the uni library - only problem is i need it before sunday and i cant be nothered to go into uni this weekend (besides i get the feeling thta the library is not even open on a saturday)
have so much uni work to do this weekend!
oh and i am also going to be watching a lot of scary movies this weekend! am watching saw1,2 and 3 and also the grudge 1 and 2! so i will have a very sore throat by the end of the week from screaming so much.
am watching saw 1 and 2 and the grudge 1 at home, am seeing saw 3 on friday with lesley and about 3-5 other people i think, and then me and lesley are planning on going to see grudge 2 at some point but we wil sit at the back of the cinema with our faces hidden behind our jackets and screaming and grabbing each other for support and generally just annying everyone else there with our screaming and yelping (i saw the trailer online and yelped twice and screamed once - seriously! my sister came to my room to see what was wrong with me!!)

hmm dont know if i can be bothered to do much more work!
will probably go downstairs and lie in bed reading a few journal articles and listening to ricky gervais's podcast which someone gave me and told me is absolutely hilarious!!

quite a long entry!! fridaok then its time to update my LJ again!

friday 6th october - cant remember what i did that day but i probably stayed at home in bed most of the day whilst my friends all had to get up and be at uni for their psychophysiology class!!

saturday - went shopping with my twin sister and spent loads of money and then in the evening me and my younger and older sisters and my mate all went to nando's for dinner - it was such a laugh we were cracking jokes and messing around the whole time (oh and i was wearing a new silver belt that i bought on my shopping spree with my sister).

sunday - went shopping again and spent loads of money again!!

monday - had classes - business psychology as usual then also my very first advanced social classes!! seminar was ok we just watched a video which was of a bbc experiment which was just like a modern day (filmed in early 2000's) of Zimbardo's prison experiment - which didn't need to be done - and if you ever see this video you will just laugh at how pathetic it is - i just sat there laughing at it instead of making notes then realised that the essay i have to do or this modul is based on the use of experimentation in social psychology so the video was very important!!

went to the "the god delusion" talk by richard dawkin with samantha which was really awful (because i believe in god) - it inspired me to become closer to god though and i went out and bought some books on sikhism!! good one dickie dawkins!! - seriously though as much as he did make my blood boil everyone is entitled to their own opinions even if they are wrong!!

tuesday - no idea what i did!

wednesday - i think that that is the day that i went round to sammis house maybe - yeah i think it was wednesday. yeah so i must ahve gone to uni for some reaso then we ended up walking around and i went to her flat i think. oh yeah that is the day that i bought my earrings! yeah so we went there then M came over and then F came home and was so excited (they're like star-crossed lovers - seperated only by ... hmm... by what - what is stopping these 2 from getting together!?). oh and M was basically trying to sell me to F so that i could look after him!! wtf!? then V came home and i felt sorry for him because he looked like he felt a bit awkward - kinda like the 5th wheel cos i had sammi and M had V and V had well V had noone! well after sitting there and having fun M got up to leave and i noticed the time and realised that i had broken my curfew more than i had planned to cos time just went so fast! so i got up and left with him - which was good because he saved me from the weird-jesus-loving-drunken-man at the station!! then we had to wait ages for first train then i had company up to oxford circus where we had to go our seperate ways! got home did a bit of work and went to bed! (by the way sammi when u wanna go to maidenhead - i think its supposed to be very lively on the weekends - u even get a couple of people over the age of 15 in the club!! LOL!)

thursday - was reading book for my itnernet class but i went in to uni anyway to do some research and stuff then went to see the devil wears prada with sammi - it was such a wicked film (had a couple of cute guys in it too - and one of them was blonde!!) - meryl streep was amazing but i must say taht when anne hathaway started dressing up in better clothes she looked amazing and not "fat"!!

friday - came to uni again - sat in the computer rooms for ages doing work and mucking around too then went home! got home at 11 and then went down my mates house with my sisters and cousins for a session - had a laugh - drank mango juice and lemonade - quite a nice mix!! stayed there the night and got back home at 11am on saturday.

saturaday - got home at 11 am - did a bit of housework and cleaned my room too as my mate wain was coming over that afternoon. she ended up calling me and asking me to meet her at my local bakery cos i hadnt had lunch yet and she was hungry. then we decided to go to costa coffee instead and do a spot of shopping. my whole bus issue was a biut embarasing that day - i went on and swiped my travel card as usual but it beeped and said i didnt have any money so i went upstairs to the top of the bus to get my sisters card then came back downstairs and swiped that but it woldnt let me so ha to go back upstairs and gt money from wain cos i had no cash and then go back downstairs and finally got a bus ticket - the only thing i could do to not feel so embarased was to say "cheers mate" to the bus driver and smile at everyone on the bus before going back to the top deck and just acting like nothing had happened!! did pur shopping and coffee came home. we mucked around online for a bit and just chilled in my room, then exchanged uni usernames and passwords so we have access to a greater number of psychology databases and articles! i babysat on saturday night - had promised last saturday that i would do it so couldn't say no. i watched white oleander when baby fianlly went to sleep. it's a really good movie, think i might watch it a few more times then consider adding it to my list. also did some reading. then watched a programe at 3am about teacing in english in indian schools. went to bed. had to get up a few times beacuse of baby.

sunday - was very tired on sundayt because of lack of sleep night before! was my aunts wedding but iwas tired and had the biginnings of a cold so didnt go. did end up at the cinmea to watch yet another movie though - watched accepted ith my twi sister - we got their late because of stupid bus and the board at the cinema said that there were not many seats left for the film so we bought 2 tickets and were afraid we might not be able to find 2 seats together but when we went into the cinema there was noone else there at all!! we had all the cinema to ourselves!! a guy (who works there) came in half way through the movies and realised we were the only 2 there and said we were lucky! my sister was felinga bit down that day so its a good job there was noone else there because we hust let loose and laughed out loud and jumped up and started siniging along with the soundtrak songs and kept clapping and cheering when something good happened which helped my sister and i realax and loosen up a little. on the way home we ended up walking instead of getting the bus, we walked half way together then she went to work and i came home!

monday - today - went to uni again and had all the usual classes!! boring and long!! had no bread fruit or veg at home today so ended up taking a bottle of water and four cereal bars to uni to eat and then finally at half past 7 in the evening i got a pasta!! finished classes at half past 4 today then went to do some work. sat at uni until 7-something then went to tottenham court road to meet my sisters and we went to see chicago (with ashlee simpson - and some hot dancer guys!!). then went for some food and stuff and ended up stuk in central london as the stations were closed so got the bus instead and then gota lift from a friend fromt he bus stop to home. then came up stairs to my room where i am doing some work and writing this and talking to hannah online. now that this is finished i am going to hae to say bye to hannah and go to bed i think - have the seth lakeman gig tomoro so wanna be rested up - thankfully i have no classes tomoro so i can have a lie in though!! oh and i have to make sure i remember to actually take the tickets with me 2moro - i once left my gig ticket at home and had to ruch back home to get it!!

Friday - module change, God, Volver, Lady Vengance and busy day tomorrow! TODAY!-
you know how i said i hated my psychophysiology class - well i applied for a module change so i could do the advanced social psychology module instead and the chances of them saying i could change were next to nothing because i made the application after the module chage deadline and was applying to a class which was already full!
BUT today i rang up the undergraduate office and it turns out that i got into the advanced social module! YAY! no more psychophysiology - unfortunately it also means i dont get to be in any classes with some of my mates (sammi and lesley *sob*)
this does however mean that i have to try extra hard with the module though because i told the module leader that if i get on to the course i will ace it!

bought a ticket to see a talk called "The God Delusion" by a guy called Richard Dawkins on monday because i have seen the light and am trying to follow a more holy way of life!! (and convert sammi to sikhism while i'm at it - Waheguru ji ka Khalsa, Waheguru ji ki Fateh Sammi!)

watched volver - was every bit as amazing as i thought it would be!! pedro almodovar does it again!!

when i got home i fed mya and put her to sleep and started watching a really good korean movie (lady vengance) but unfortunately was distracted a few times by mya waking up or stirring in her sleep and then i fell asleep and missed the last 45 minutes of it!

hmm - it's like so late and i have to go to bed now cos i have a long list of things 2 do 2moro -
(1) do write up for portfolio for Psychology and the Internet module
(2) find an altruism test for my project
(3) go through the social psychology work i have missed out on (was lucky enough to get someone to email the lecture handouts!)
(4) write up the business psychology notes i took on monday

hmm - i think i'll probably only get 2 out of the 4 things done but hopefully if i try and work hard i can get them all done!!

okay then it is that time again - time for me to update you on my life!!
so last thursday 28th september is where i'll start
it was a very basic day really - came to uni went to my first internet class then went home had to help my mum tidy up for 2 hours then went to my little brothers presentation evening at school where he got an award for maths, then went to my cousins house to see her getting her mendhi/henna done - it was so beautiful!! then went home and off to bed!

friday - came to uni again! had my first psychophysiology class and absolutely hated it!!
then went home and got to get all dressed up for my cousins pre-wedding party!! it was really good - very loud music! everyone had a blast! i wanted to leave early so i could get home and have a decent nights rest before her actual wedding on saturday but ended up literally being the last one to leave!! my uncle aunt and their 3 kids were staying with us for the night cos they came down to london from birmingham and needed somewhere to stay! so we all ended up sitting around for ages chatting then when the chatting finished i jumped into the shower so u can imagine how my early night ended up being a very very late night!!

saturday - the day of her wedding!
got up and spent ages getting ready! the whole house was a mad house as people were shouting over each other and fighting for the mirror!!
went to the gurdwara (temple) for the religious ceremony and then came home to get ready for the reception - i was like totally gold! gold outfit, gold shoes, gold jewellery and gold makeup (well my eyeshadow was gold - don't worry i didnt just whack gold face paint all over myself!!)
the reception was really great too - lots of dancing and laughter and food - what more could you ask for!! oh okay i admit it would have been better if johnny depp had been my date to the wedding but apart from that it was great!!
went to my cousins house afterwards to see her off as she got into the limo and drove to her husbands place! i cried! i told myself i wouldnt but when everyone was seeing her off some people started to cry and i couldnt help it!! she's the third girl in our family to get married but the other 2 got married to local guys wherras she is a 2 to 2and a half hour drive away!!
after that a group of us (8 cousins and a friend) all ended up at my mates house and just chilled together!! - made sure that they all called me once they got home though!!)

sunday morning was a but boring did a little bit of work but mostly just lazed around and looked after my niece! then in the afternoon my cousin came nack (the bride and her new family are supposed to come back to her house the day after the wedding and we have another ceremony and see her off again) so i went there and was there for hours and hours then when she left i went home.
it was quite awkward going to my cousins house though as i walked with by brother and one of my sisters and they were both dressed in very casual western dress (jeans and a tshirt) whereas i was in a very flash asian outfit with pretty silver jewellery and my funky silver bitch pointy shoes!!

monday - everything back to normal - came to uni etc etc

tuesday - came to uni for a project meeting then me and saami decided to go and see a film so we watched Echo Park L.A. (Quinceanera) which was really good!
then went to her place for a bit then went home and had me an aubergine sandwich and went to bed!

wednesday - came into uni again for e-mentoring training then wenthome then went out with a few local friends and came home at about 11.15pm

thursday - today!
woke up to moaning parents cos they say that i have become to rebeliious over the past few months and that i am always out too late and they want to give me a curfew - they originally wanted to make it 7pm and i was like no f-ing way! so after a lot of bargaining i mangaed to get it to 10pm which is still really early but i think if i stick to it for a bit then they'll forget about it and i'll be able to go out as late as i want again!!

gonna go watch volver today with sammi - i have waited so long to watch this film canb't believe i am fially getting to watch it!!
anyways i think the other class has finished now so i'm going to go and look for people instead of sitting infront of a computer screen!!

hello hello hello
obviously i'm suffering from insomnia cos i'm up so late!!

went back to uni today and had my first lecture of my final year (Business Psychology) which was really interesting

I was really dreading going back to uni this year because i've ha such a great summer but once i got there it felt good!

this morning i was going to leave the house but then my niece started crying loads so i settled her and then ended up almost being late to my first lecture, just about made it on time.
sat with flo and another girl who i have been at uni with for 2 years but did not recognise even though she recognised me!

then we found out that ther eis no seminar today which was great cos we met 2 of flo's mates and went to the marylebone campus to fill out our oyster card forms and get our nus cards. Flo got annoyed cos it normally takes only 5minutes to sort out your nus card cos all theey got to do is take your picture then fill in a couple of details on the computer but mine kinda took like ages cos there was a bit of innocent flirting going on between me and the guy doing i, she moaned so much that when it was her turn he called her "miss misery guts" LOL. he was cute though!!

after that we had some lunch and walked around. Today i bought 2 t-shirts, a jacket and a bag! all for under £50!!

as soon as i got home though my sister gave me the baby and went out and didn't get in till gone 11pm! so even though i am knackered i am still unable to go to sleep!

oh and i watched Shaft today, it came on E4 at 10pm - wicked movie - realised taht i seen bits of it before though. - doesnt make my amazing movie list though!!

what i've been up to so far this week! so sunday night a group of us went to the cinema and wanted to watch the 6.40pm showing of Lage Raho Munna Bhai but the tickets had completely sold out so our plans of being home nice and early by like 10pm went completely down the drain as we bought tickets for the 9.35pm showing instead. We had 3 hours to kill til then though and the shops were all closed so we had a choice between sitting and chatting and chillin in a bar or going bowling so we decided on bowling! we played 2 games and in the first game i got highest out of us girls girls but in the second game i got least. and guess what? i got a strike!! and quite a few half strikes too!!
we kept mucking around though and jumping behind each other to distract people from the game and stuff so the guy who was working there and supposed to be tending to al the bowling lanes ended up spending the whole time right next to us to make sure we don't keep mucking around!!

after bowling we went for a quick walk and thought that if we get to the cinema by about 9.15 we should get decent seats and be able to find enough seats in a row. however, when we went upstairs to que up for the film the hwole of the top floor was full of people waiting to get in! we jumped the que and ended up standing behind these 2 girls and a guy and told them that if anyone asks we're all together!! they agreed which was very nice of them and we got decent seats all in a row!! i haven't seen the first munna bhai movie but i really liked this one and it was hilarious! it was really cool though cos the cinema was completely packed an everytime something good happened everyone starts cheering and clapping! such a wicked atmosphere!! after the film we 4 girls just went driving for a while and got followed twice! first time wasnt that bad but second time this car was proper up our arse and we oinly just managed to lose him cos he got overtaken by a silver golf and we took a quick turn into a side road without indicating! man - i can't wait til i can drive!!

on tuesday i met my mate and her boyfriend at euston station and i was late cos the trains were running really badly!! had to take the long was round! we went to get some food first then went to the LSE library and then ended up walking around for an hour before getting the train so that we would not get caught in rush hour!

Last night (friday) was wicked we just chilled for the whole night very loud but very relaxing - it was a wicked night! only 4 of us but we made so much noise! at 3am when there was singing going on we heard someone scream "shut up" - some boring woman has a problem with us enjoying ourselves! although i suppose it WAS kinda late!!

today we're doing something else again but not quite sure what yet but will let you know soon what it is and how it goes!

random helloooo.
if anyone is reading this just to warn you that this lj entry starts off as a couple of comments about my last couple of days and then ends up as a massive overview of a film which i hope you will read my view on it and at the end see how it relates to me! here goes...
so friday night something very strange indeed happened.
me and a couple of my sisters were at a mates and when we came home (quite early at about 10ish i think it was) the whole family was at home (thats me 3 sisters 1 brother 2 parents and one niece) and my dad kinda said he wants everyone in te living room now. that's when te weird thing happened - he turned off the tv!! i know i know that sounds stupid but in my house the tv rules especially if you're home on a friday night! we all sa around instead talking and joking and it was really really nice!! then my mate (the one whose house we were at earlier) came over and joined us as we all sat around talking! it was a good night but lets just say now that i don't think it is something that can happen every night cos the tv is always on in our house!!
the next night (last night) - saturday night - i was home again (i can hear you all calling me sad!!) one of my sisters was at work till half 11 and well one of us has to be home to look after my niece so my other 2 sisters went out and my brother went to the park for a late game of footie. my parents were home too but they normally want one of us to stay home to help with baby mya. and besides we been out quite a bit lately leaving mya with her grandparents and i think we're kinda starting to take advantage of them now! we got a big night out planned this friday so have to give my parens a break sometime!! anyways i'm holding mya trying to get her to sleep and i want to watch tv (told u it rules my house) but there was nothing decent on! i remember when i was a kid and saturday night used to be god tv! there were game shows on! that one with mr blobby and noel edmonds for one! yeah so i couldnt be bothered to come upstairs and raid my dvd collection so i checked what movies were downstairs and they were mostly shit but i settled on one called ABCD which stands for American Born Confused Desi (Desi being an indian person) and it was like so unrealistic!
It was based mainly on this brother (RAJ) and sister (NINA) and what their lives as adults is having been brought up in America, the guy was actually born in india and his parents moved to america when he was 8 and then had a daughter. for those of you who don't know sex before marriage is not generally... no let me change that - is not at all -... accepted among indian cultures and well that is where this film becomes unrealistic. The sister in the movie is such a whore and she's really westernised and was engaged to a white american guy but his mother disapprived so they broke up, she usd to sleep with him then when they split she had some more relationships with white guys which always involved sex. Then she finally agrees to meet this indian guy her mum knows just to get her off her back. she meets Ashok who is really nice and has a great sense of humour and is a wicked cook etc etc. there first date is him cooking her a meal at his apartment, and surprise surprise whe actually likes this indian guy who was actaully brought up in india and just got to america recently! she kisses him and he pulls aways and says it is not proper to kiss on a first date, the next thihng youknow they're in bed! they're dating and sleepingtogether for a week when he asks her to marry him. she freaks, jumps out of bed and says that it's too soon and that they should get to know each other first and he's like totally confused (just as i was) i started screamong to the tv "you stupid bitch whore you been fucking him for a week and now your saying you need to get to know him!" (yes i said that whilst holding a baby!!!). Next day she's on her way to work at stops to buy a newspaper from a kiosk outside the offices where she works and its an indian guy working the kiosk he as her if shes indian and she says yes then he asks her if shes from Bombay and stupid bitch says "i don't know but whatever i am i'm a higher caste than you" - again i swore at the tv! I hate ABCD's. Ashok was waiting for her outside the office building and she agrees to meet him later to talk about things and before he walks off the kiosk guy warns Ashok that the girl is too westernised and has turned into a whore! when the 2 of them meet later she realises that she does actaully have feeling for him and says taht she wants to give it a break for a few weeks and that after that they'l pick up where they left off and he points out that her mother has asked him to dinner the mext day and she says that after that dinner she don't wanna talk to him for a few weeks and he agrees.
at dinner the next day her mum tells her about some girl getting married in 2 weeks time and says that her daughter and Ashok should go. 2 weeks later she goes to the wedding in a english dress and takes Sam (the american guy she was engaged to one and a half years ago) - she's met up with sam a couple of times since starting her break from Ashok and Sam proposed to her but she said no - then at the wedding she tells Sam that she'll marry him! (SHOCK!!)
Her brother - Raj - he's supposed to be the decent rooted down to earth guy - he was set to have an aranged wedding and was introduced to Tejal but they decided not to get married straight away (Tejal, like Ashok, is recently form india) and Raj and tejal go wicked togehter - but again they are sexually involved - then he has this new woman working with him, and american white woman (who is supposed to be really fit but was quite minging - bad casting!!). so he nearly kisses his new coworker at one point but manages to pull away just in time so i was like - fair enough he had an urge but didn't act on it - he and tejal remained togehter.
Raj and Nina go to their mums house for dinner (mums a widow who just wants to see her kids get married and be happy before she passes away - they go to her house every week for a family dinner) unfortunately they go to her house and she's on the kitchen floor dead (i shed a tear!) then believe it or not a little while later raj breaks up with tejal and in a conversation with his sister he recognises the fact that he has fucked up tejals life now cos shes been with him for 2 years and now he's left her and no decent indian guy will want her now, but despite recognising this he also tells his sister that he knows he should feel guilty about it but he doesn't! stupid bastard!
so basically the whole movie is about a wonderful widow who just wants to see her kids marry into decent indian families (she liked ashok and got on really well with tejal), then both her fucked up kids fuck up and at the end of the movie i was sat there thinking "Thank God she died when she did, if she hadn't she would probably have died after realising what her kids were planning to do with their lives."
oh and i know i sound totally anti-sex in this lj entry but i'm not a prude, i don't think that there is anyting wrong with sex but i just couldn't believe that they had made tejal and ashok sleep with raj and nina cos they're supposed to be from india so they should know their culture and what is and isn't expected of them even is raj and nina are confused! And just so u kow about me - i would like an aranged mariage even though my parents say that if i find someone suitable they will be ok with it and i'm not going to meet a guy like him then marry him all in one month. i think that whether i find a guy myself or my family finds him for me i have to know him for at least about a year before i get married so that we can get to know each other and i don't think that getting to "know each other" means having sex and well there is no way that i would do that cos ithink its wrong and worst come to worst i don't want to be in the position that tejal found herself in where she gave herself away to one guy and he left her after 2 years and poor woman will be lucky if she can find a decent guy now!!

well - that's a big part of me i have just shared!! and now i must go cos i am hungry and in need of breakfast!! oh and i might go out and watch a movie tonight so might tell you about that too (will try to make it shorter than this though) - oh and i watched another film last night when my sister got back from work "My First Mister" which was well good but i think i've spoken enough of movies so if you wanna know about this one you'll have to rent it out for yourself!!

WELL IT'S BEEN A WHILE.. OVER 2 MONTHS!! it has been so long since i updatd my lj so i'm going to do it now as i did quite a bit on the long weekend that has just been.

firstly, friday night. me and my brother and 3 sisters all went to the cinema together to watch john tucker must die. it was really nice cos it's the firsttime we've gone out just the 5 of us since my older sister got married. the film itself was really good too, alhtough i must say that i think john tuckers brother is actually cuter than john tucker, his name is penn badgley and he is a little baby born in november of 1986!!

saturday night me my older sister and the younger one went to get some food then next door to the cinema to watch a hindi movie with a couple of mates, the film was called Aap Ki Khatir, and again it was a good movie, set in London.

Sunday, firstly i went out to buy a pair of shoes to go with my outfit i was going to wear on monday. and i got some wicked bitch shoes! they're silver but only have a one and a half inch heel on them, they are pointy shoes - my first pair of pointy shoes and trust me for pointy shoes they are seriously pointy - people kept saying that to me. anyways on the front they have little gold and brown gems on them!! in the evening the 5 of us (the same five that watched the hindi movie) went down brick lane for dinner. it was my first time down brick lane!! there were people outside every restaurant trying to pull us in to their restaurants!! we settled on one and had out food and when this girl who works there came to see if we're ok all she got were complaints cos the food was cooked for white people not for asians (that is not a raist comment it's just that asians can eat their food much spicier!!) also the food was cold cos they gave us starter and main meal together so by the time we got to the main meal it was cold! the drinks took forever to come too. It did actually end up being a good night though as the girl who we were complaining to turned out to be the managers daughter and they both joined us at our table after our meal and we were all sat there talking and laughing for ages! and they gave us a massive discount on out meal so that it only cost us £30!!

and now for bank holiday monday. it was my neices (my cousins baby girls) first birthday so we had a nice party. it was in a hall above a restaurant and we actually got there a bit late so by the time we got there people were having their starters already so we quickly grabbed a plate each and helped ourselves then sat down. then there was dancing and laughter and then time for main meal so we helped ourselves again and then it was back to the dancing. there were games for the young children - there was a dance competition and musical chairs with prizes for the winners (unfortunately due to the fact that i am "old" i could not qualify for the prizes!)

and then there was tuesday - the day i woke up with a cold. i went to bed with a sore throat and thought nothing of it the woke up feeling awful. now it is wednesday and i still have it!! oh but one good thing did happen today - i watched The King which stars Gael Garcia Bernal!!

it is so long since i chatted to some of my mates so sammi be expecting a phone call soon!!

anyways i have to go now cos my cold has also given me sore eyes and this computer screen is hurting me so much!!

fathers day and movies! Sunday - Fathers Day
Last night sukh put up a Happy Father's Day Daddy in the living room and when he came down his face lit up! ten he got ready and went to the factory cos what with sunday being the day of god he goes every sunday morning to pray there for good luck for the business and stuff.
When he got back the sofa in front of the sign had a couple of boxes and a teddy bear there and my dad just walked past it and we went "daddy that’s for you" and he goes "no its not its for jas's baby" (he assumed cos of the teddy - he didn’t realise it says number 1 dad on it!) and we went "no it really is for you" and he goes” shut up" and his face lit up more than before!!
so what did we get for him? - a corkscrew (cos he used to have 2 and sukh broke them both) a sim card reader which goes into the computer cos he's always getting me to transfer his sim contacts to computer and this way he can do it himself!!!, Newton’s cradle for his desk at work and also a miniature tabletop golf set for desk too, we got him a collectors model of his own car which made his face light up more and then the one that made his face beam the most was a playstation 2 game - the first need for speed game - he likes the first one more than the ones that came after it! and he's always getting sukh to rent it from blockbusters but he cant save his game progress on it so now he has his own he can save it all he like! there were also some other things (including the teddy and some beers!) but i can't remember them all. And of course the biggest present of all was that i was going out so he could spend the day without me annoying him! LOL!!
so me and sukh went out to watch a couple of movies - first we went to cineworld at haymarket and just about got to Piccadilly station on time to run down to haymarket and see the movie! watched Thank You For Smoking which was really good! Adam Brody was in it only for a couple of minutes but i loved it!! then after that we had like 2 hours till the next movie was going to begin so we went walking and ended up in Hamleys where we bought some presents for my cousin (its his 7th birthday today!) i asked what time the store shuts on a sunday thinking that we can just go back and buy the presents before we leave but the store was going to close at 6 and well we'd be in the cinema at 6 so we had to buy them then and walk around with a massive bag and a small bag which we kept swapping over!! There was this couple in front of us and the bloody store assistant guy was with them for like ages! we were standing there waiting for him to bloody finish but he took forever! when he finally finished with them we asked him for some help and he passed us on to some other guy who works there who had just got back from his break but i'm glad he did cos that guy was really helpful and helped us find the perfect gift within a matter of minutes!!
anyways the next movie we watched was Hard Candy and man was that a good film (thank you for smoking was good too but his one was better!) the girl in it is totally crazy! and the whole castration thing - ewww!! - i thought for a while that the guy was actually innocent and had nothing pervy in mind for her so i was sitting there thinking what an idiot this girl is but it turns out that i was wrong he really isn't a good guy - The guy who plays this perv (Patrick Wilson) was really cute!
hmm after the movie we just went walking again and went to Clintons on the off chance that it would be open in the late evening hours of a Sunday night but of course it wasn't! but the Book Warehouse shop next door to uni was so we went in there cos they do card too but there cards weren’t nice - but i did buy another book - i know i know i'm not supposed to but it was by isabel allende and it was like 2 or 3 pounds!! - and that is my justification for buying it!!

Monday
Ah i watched memoirs of a geisha today - you know how i said that i though the da vinci code wasn't all that and that if i hadn't read the book it would have been better well that is so not the case for memoirs of a geisha - despite the fact that i have read the book the movie still blew me away - although in my head i had imagined dr crab to be a young fit doctor but well he isn't (at least not in the movie!) - and the chairman was better looking than i had imagined him to be!

also tidied my room up a bit and raided the top draw of one of my wardrobes - the draw with all my monkeys and teddies and i got the smaller ones and placed them randomly in my bookcases to add a bit more colour and character to them - unfortunately i couldn’t put the bigger ones (like Gary the gorilla) there cos they wouldn’t fit!

well don't think i did much else apart from started the penultimate chapter of the english patient - it is seriously good i don’t get why people think it’s not that good! and wandering whether i should watch the movie straight after or leave it a couple of weeks! hmm think i might just watch it straight after! still have el crimen del padre amaro in the dvd player downstairs for some strange reason i have managed to refrain from watching a movie with my Mexican lover Gael Garcia Bernal in it!! how awfully strange!!

it's quite sad that whenever i update my LJ the main topic is movies and then a footnote of a book! oh well i guess i can also add that yesterday i played my first song on the guitar - Jamaica Farewell - it only uses 3 different chords but i am still proud of myself - i tried to sing along to it too (or as close as i can get to singing!) - but found it difficult to keep a count of the beats and sing i think it’s gonna take me some time to make the beats automatic and then after that i should be okay with the singing too!

West End Live - it rocked!! hmm just spent 5 minutes trying to log onto my LJ thinking oh my god i've forgotten my password then realised i left out the u and wrote raj_85k

friday - didn't do much today!
was on the phone to lesley from like 8.30pm til 9.30pm talking guitars and stuff and i was also online too and then dad came online and mentioned that he was going to the West End Live on saturday so i sat there talking to lesley on the phone saying "when is he going to ask me to go? he best ask me!!" and he did! it was planned to be him and a girl and guy from uni and i said i would only go if i could get someone else to go with me too cos i thought it would be uncomfortable only knowing Dan and not the others so i asked Lesley but shes working saturday and sunday so i told him i'd text him later if i could go. So i asked Flo and she said she'd like to come so i text Dan and we arranged to meet at Upney station at 11am and wait for Flo there. oh and today my brother in law came over and put the crib together (and i helped!!) it looks really cute cos its so tiny and has a canopy on it too!!

Saturday - The day of the west end live
so i got up early and had a shower and was just doing some stuff on the computer when i realised how late it was already and rushed around drying my hair and then i noticed a wasp at the window and didn't have enough time to panic so just grabbed the straightener and ran up to my room to straighten my hair there!!
Got changed and went downstairs thinking i'm gonna be late to the station but my parents were just getting ready to go to the homeopathic doctor with my brother in Plaistow which meant that they could drop me off at the station so i was 5 minutes early instead of 5 minutes late!! Rang Dan to see where he was and he said he was just walking down so i stood there like a lemon waiting for him and he finally came and we sat and just chatted till Flo and her sister Fil (she rang this morning to tell me fil was coming too!) got to the station and me and dan jumped onto the train with them and i introduced them to one another and we all had a good old chat on the train, flo and fil got on well with dan which was really good.
Got to Leicester Square station and were looking around for the other 2 people that were supposed to go so dan calls them both and they couldn't make it (if i hadn't gone on msn last night poor dan would have been on his own there but thankfully he had 3 lovely ladies with him!)
We walked to leicester square and just caught the ending of the Guys and Dolls performance which was so energetic man i wanna go and see that now!! then we started walking around looking at the stalls around there and fil went to get her face painted like a princess and to get a fake tattoo (she's 15!) and while she was cueing up for that The Producers cast came on stage and did their bit which i didn't watch properly cos i seen the producers before! Next was the one that i was most looking forward too The Blue Man Group! I have seen advertisements for the blue man group and frankly it kinda freaks me out so i thought i'd check it out and see what the hell it is all about and man was it good! i had quite a crap view though, i was at the front but all the way to one side and i had these giant speakers right next to me and omg the blue man production is loud! i was so near to the speakers that i could feel my whole self vibrating! Basically there were 3 blue men and one of them was in the middle and one was to either side of him, one of the side guys was basically on the receiving end of marshmallows and the other one of little balls of paint! so the main guy throws a pink paint ball at one of the guys who catches it in his mouth then like bursts it in his mouth and spits/sprays it to make a pattern on a piece of card he has, then he gets some yellow one and he spits it to add to the pattern then the last on e he gets was blue i think and he hold the card and starts spinning it then spits the paint onto it so it makes a spiral pattern! it was so cool! the marshmallow guy was great! he has one marshmallow thrown at him and tries to spit it onto his piece of card but it bounces off and onto the ground so he picks it up and just squashes it against the card instead!! then the middle guy throws another marshmallow and again he catches it in his mouth then is about to do something with it when another one is thrown and then he throws loads like really fast and the guy is actually catching them all in his mouth! at the end he kinda lead over his card and forced it out and it comes out like a long block about 10 inches high probably in the shape of he mouth! he actually had that many marshmallows in his mouth!! then they play music on some pipes which sounds really cool then theres 3 other guys (not blue men!) on the stage too with drums, keyboard and electric guitar and between the 6 of them they make some well wicked music!!

next was mamma mia and i was stood there bopping along and singing to every song!! It was so awesome!
after mamma mia i felt like getting out of the crowd for a bit so we left the main area and decided to get food, first we went to mcdonalds for flo, fil and dan and then we went to starbucks so i could get a frapacinno (dan recommended the chocolate cream chip one and i was like are you trying to make me fatter! but had it anyway and it was really nice!) so cos of this we missed the chicago and footloose performances but when we got back we had some wicked view cos we were at the very centre at the front and we saw a performance by a group of kids who were involved in something called "A Taste Of Kids Week" which i assume was like a half term holiday activity week for kids and they were really good! some of them weren't quite sure what they were doing but they were quite young and only had 3 hours to learn and practice it!
next was Chinatown Showcase which started off with 4 guys playing some amazingly soothing and relaxing chinese music (and an instrument which left me thinking what the f*** is that!) there was also some kung fu and tai chi demonstration which were wicked and then there was this dragon dance with some musician and out of the 6 people involved in that only 2 were actually chinese! LOL!! oh there was also this amazing ribbon dance by a group of little chinese (and one white) girls (and one boy) - flo and fil wouldn't believe me and dan that the boy was actually a boy cos he had this little blue ribbon at the top of his hair but we told them that (a) it looks like a boy, (b) HE has short hair and (c) he was wearing a different outfit to all the girls!! at the end fil believed it was a boy too but flo still thought it was a girl!
next was a performance of a selection of songs from Oliver Twist by students of the Sylvia Young Theatre School - i was singing along to food glorious food "is it worth a waiting for if we live til 84 ........." i remember singing it in infant school! and they sang the pickpocket song too!!
Ah the London Gay Men's Chorus - they were well good (and a few of them were quite cute- such a waste for womankind and what a delight for men!!) they sang quite a few songs including that nursery rhyme about a teddy bears picnic! i really liked them!
Then the blue man group came on again and we got to see from a good view! i counted how many marshmallows the man got in his mouth - 32!! can you believe it!!

There were a few things still to some but this is when we left! first we went to a touristy shop to get something for flo's brother cos he was really upset and crying cos he couldn't come with us (she should have brought him in my opinion but i suppose she's right that he would have gotten all hot and bothered as he's only 7) then Dan left and it was just us 3 left so i was gonna leave them 2 at picadilly circus station cos i had a few things to do but i managed to convince them to walk up to oxford circus with me instead cos i had a few things to do so we started walking and on the way we stopped at another touristy shop cos fil wanted an england tshirt but when we got in flo bought a tshirt for her fiancée but told fil her £30 tshirt was too expensive so i ended up walking with 2 stroppy sisters!
unfortunately for flo i was kinda taking fils side cos flo was just being stupid - we were walking past another shop and fil says she wants to go in and flo goes to her i will buy you anything up to £10. so fil finds a really nice top and says she wants it but flo says no! fil was also pissed off at flo cos flo has a habit of touching her sisters arm or back when talking to her and trying to get her attention and understandably you dont want that when you're pissed off at someone so i tell flo to stop touching her sister and it came out ruder than i meant it too!

when we got to the top of shaftesbury avenue flo was so pissed off she didnt even bother to check the road before crossing thankfully she didnt get hit but she crossed when it was a red man and both sides of the road were packed with people waiting for the green man and me and fil waited for the lights to change and flo was just stood on the other side waiting for us.
so we crossed and she tells us off for not crossing with us and i tell her mine and fils lives are obviously more valuable than hers! then we carry on walking and i kinda go to fil "oh look theres esprit they have nice tshirts and stuff but they wont be under £10" and fil goes that her sister wont let her go in there and i tell her that if we both just walked in flo has to come in with us so we do that and she comes in with us and we look at some bags and some shades - saw a really nice bag for £100 and shades for £55 but thought i shouldn't buy them cos i have no job!!
then we leave there and halfway down regent street flo does the same thing again - just crosses without looking and when she realises that we havent crossed yet she just carries on walking then when we finally cross he sister is like make sure you dont lose me cos i wont know what to do then! bless!! so we carry on walking just about seeing flo in the crowd ahead then we decide to be a bit childish and step into a shop and see if her sister waits for us, she carries on until she gets to the station! couldnt believe it!!
so we went to the station and i said by to them and told them not to fight and bicker on the way home and went to do my own thing! Saw this gorgeous guy with beautiful blue eyes and we had a bit of a prolonged stare at each other as we walked towards each other then I carried on and turned and he turned at the same time and we both laughed and carried on walking!! Man he was gorgeous though!!

made sure i called flo when i got home to make sure her and her sister were ok and that she wasn't pissed off at me but thankfully all was good!

all in all i had a great day! got to see dan after ages (not seen him since april) and got to see flo for the first time in two and a half weeks and saw fil after like ages!! and the west end live festival was amazing! oh man i never realised how much i love musicals! still have to see we will rock you but noone else is interested in watching it but dan said he'll go again to keep me company so theres my last resort!! this was supposed to be a free day out (apart from travel obviously!!) but it left me wanting to spend loads on theatre tickets because everything they had on was amazing! am definitely gonna see blue man group!!

oh and i got an hours reading done on the train home (the english patient is like totally awesome!!)

anyways gonna go now i think i have written more than enough!!

tuesday, wednesday and thursday too! i need more drugs!!! hmm what to write what to write?

on tuesday i went with my sister to her midwife appointment and at the end of the appointment the midwife says go to reception and make an appointment for 2 weeks time and my sisters like "this baby is due in 2 weeks time and it best be on time so i might not be able to make the appointment" then the midwife told her that first borns tend to be late and my sister was like "no... i'd best have this baby on time!" LOL! the past week has been really hot here (yes thats right hot weather in England!) but then as we were leaving the surgery it starts pouring down with rain so my sister gives me her keys and makes me run to the car and get soaking wet so that i can bring back her umbrella for her spo she doesn't have to get wet! (she is so lucky she's pregnant cos i so would not have done that if she wasn't!) oh and we went to the pharmacy cos the midwife said to get some energy tablets for her to take during her labour which i for some strage reason find absolutely hilarious! so we got them and took a couple just to try them out to see if they actually energize us and i had to tell her the truth "Jas, before taking this tablet i was fine and now i can't stop yawning!" it's true i couldn't - i swear the tablets will make her fall asleep during her labour!!
after that we came home and picked up my younger sister and we all went shopping and just as we palled up at the retail park it starts pouring down with rain and theres like lightning and thunder too! i bought 3 tops! hmm so we went around to a few other places too - bought a mop from Big W, went to Argos too and bought a bouncer thing for the baby and 2 toys and a 3D spherical 540 piece jigsaw of a globe (for me!) - i was wel excited about the globe (GEEK) that i did about 100 pieces that night, and the rest on wednesday morning and i realised that there is one piece missing so i found the company in the yellow pages today and rang them and told them and the woman goes we cant send you a single piece so we have to send you a whole puzzle and i said "I don't have to pay for that do i?" and she goes no! i couldn't believe it - i had geared myself up to have a go at the preson (i really do love my 3D jugsaws! have a massive 620 piece one of Camelot's castle i did years ago!)

yesterday - wednesday - hmm am trying to remember anyhting i did yeaterday but am having difficulty remembering! oh yeah got a text from Lesley saying she has bought a guitar but has no idea what to do with it so i called her up and she found the tuning pitch thingy your supposed to listen to difficult so i was sat in my room strumming the strings on my guitar whilst she was at home in her room listening and checking the sounds of her strings against it! i told her i'll ring her in a few days to see how she's getting on with it so i think i'll give her a call on sunday!
on wednesday me and sukh also helped my older sister pack her hospital bag (finally done it)

today i got up really late again! 11am and that was only because someone was knocking loads on the front door, my older sister answered it and it was my neighbour wanting to speak to me so my siter told her i'd call her when i get up!
so that basically woke me up and i called her about 5 minutes after she'd knocked and asked her what's up? and she said she just needed me to hold a ladder for her while she went up into the loft/attic to find a pair of curtains she'd stored there and could i goat 12 so i said yeah sure!
jumped in the shower, jumped back out and then went to hers, she found the curtains really quickly and then we put them up and when i was leaving she gave me her daughter and said that my sister had agreed to look after her as my meighbour was having her first proper client!! (she's just started a beauty business from home!!) so i take the girl hime, then run back to get some toys for her (whenever she comes over we have no toys for her - i mean i suppose if i was nice enough i could lend her one of my monkeys but i guess i'm not as nice as i like to think i am!), also i would have given her one of the toys i have bought for my sisters baby (she's due on 26th so it could be here any day now!) but the thing is that she is teething at the moment so has like tons of saliva (seriously i have to wipe her mouth every 5 seconds cos i am not getting baby saliva on my clothes!)!
my sister was supposed to be the one looking after her but the baby just cried whenever my sister held her! first she cried so much she fell asleep! then when she got up she was all moody so my sister went to pick her up again but she was crying at her again so the baby was basically thrown at me whilst i was trying to cook myself comething to eat so i had to get my sister to make my ffod for me cos i didn't want the baby near the cooking so i was stood a safe distance away going "is the oil hot enough now? throw in the onion now, ok then next goes the veg...etc, etc." (omg when i cut the onion my eyes watered like soooooo much!)
so yeh basically just after 2 the girls mum came home and i had like 5 minutes to run arounf the house and get ready to go to a beauticians (yes my friend/neighbour has started her own one across the road but i still go somewhere else!!) so me sukh and jas all went and i just got my eyebrows done (they really needed reshaping and look great now! yes i know big big headed!)
i also used an epilator for the first time! you get this ice pack to kinda numb your skin first and with the braun silk epil ones you get a special started head which has fewer tweezers on it so i started off using the ice pack and the starter head then realised that its taking hardly any hairs out at all and i'm gonna be sat there for ages so i thought i'd try the proper head instead (it has 40 tweezers on it!) and thought i'd forget about the ice pack too cos it's annoying and time-consuming and basically it worked a lot quicker but was quite painful but it was ok - left my skin slightly red and raised but thats supposed to be normal the first few times you do it (although i didn't think it would happen to me cos i normally wax not shave!) but i dont think it helped that i didnt use any of the advice for newcomers to the wonderful world of the epilator! oh and i know you probably don't wanna know this but tomorrow i'm gonna try and epilate my underarms and am thinking that it will be kinda painful! hmm hope it's not too bad!
Spoke to Flo - been caling her quite bit like she told me to do but when you call someone like every other day there isn't much you can talk about - i mean for some reason we don't seem to have that whole random talking for hours thing as good as i'd like us to i mean we can do it sometimes but not like every other day! our conversations are mostly about what she's done at work as she has a job and i don't! she said she can gt me a job where she works and intitially i told her no way am i going to do another job where i have to phone people up and try to get money from them (even if it is for childrens charities and not trying to sell kitchens and double-glazing!) then when she said it again today i considered it for a second before telling her i can't work there anyway cos i want something which is like a saturday and one evening or something! so i guess it's back to the bloody recruitment agency again for me!!
oh england won 2-0 today and both times they scored one of my new neighbours (a young-ish guy i think) ran into the garden screaming and i thought it would be hilarious if Trinidad and Tobago scored and i went out and screamed like he did every time England scored but i was like what are the chances of them scoring now (both england goals were right at the end of the match too!) and then suddenly Trinidad and Tobago score and i get up and am about to run into the garden then i realise it was offside!! oh man i was well pissed off at that cos i think it would have been a great was to meet the neighbour!LOL!!

oh and i got a letter from the interview i went to on monday - it was a rejection letter!
I really need to find a job cos i have to save £1500 this year in order to get my dad to pay for mine and sukh's trip around america next summer (which is really weird cos it's supposed to be a graduation present so he should be encouraging me to study not work!!)

oh and lastly i am feeling neglected by Sammi!! girl you been gone for a few days but it seems like ages!!

today has been such a lazy day! i woke up at 6am and realised that once again i had fallen asleep with my glasses on and a book in front of me (omg what a geek!) and then just moved my book and took off my glasses and went to sleep properly and didn't set an alarm and i actually managed to stay asleep til 11am which like never happens to me! seriously though sometimes (like after my last exam) i'm like thats it i'm not setting an alarm i'm going to sleep til a ridiculously late hour but even then i manage to be up by like 9.30am i think my body is just not programmed to cope with lie ins (why did you do this to me God!!) so basically yes that was the start of my lazy day!

so i come downstairs in my new pink two cheeky monkey pj's and my mum says how nice i look in pink (yay! compliment first thing in the morning!)
so whilst my mum and dad just sat around talking and having breakfast and stuff i lay on the sofa and started reading (had to finish my book The Shadow Of The Wind by Carlos Ruiz Zafon today as i had set myself the target of having finished this and started Michael Ondaatje's English Patient before Sammi leaves for Mexico) so that was another lazy thing!

my mum and dad went to a wedding today (dads secretary's daughter got married!) but they didn't have a card to give them so me and mum ran (or rather drove) to the newsagents to buy a card (and didn't find any wedding cards until we got to the third newsagent can you believe that!?) and i decided to buy a newspaper as it's been a while since i read a proper paper and it's been so long since i got a paper that the paper i used to get has gone up from £1.40 to £1.80!! (my politics teacher told me i had to get a sunday paper every week to keep up to date with the world so i did and then as soon as i finished with politics decided to stop getting the paper which means i've not got it regularly for like 2 years!!)

so got home and kept flicking between three lazy activities (1) reading my book, (2) reading newspaper and (3) watching the football - oh my god it's like my heaven - so many gorgeous guys in one place - oh and the mexico match was best cos i knew some of their players were cute but had never seen an iran player before but man some of them are gorgeous too! oh and because Gael Garcia Bernal said he's gonna go to every mexico match i kept an eye out for him in the audience but unfortunately didn't see him oh and mexico better win cos if they do i get £50 from my brother and if Iran win i gots to give him £50 but if todays game is anything to go for mexico has a better chance than iran! 3-1!!!

hmm so yes because of this oh-so-exciting mix of three activities i completely forgot about my ritualistic erratic hand cleaning after touching a newspaper and later discovered grubby newspaper-blackened hand prints on the back of my book and tried to clean it as best i could with a slightly damp tissue which did the job!!

Oh and i also watched the rest of creep today which would have been really scary if i hadn't seen it in broad daylight and hadn't sat their laughing at it and talking about it with my sisters - although i must admit i did still jump quite a bit and even gave out a cuuple of screams (believe it or not my scared freaked out scream is really quite high pitched and "girly")

During the day i called flo and we had a good old chat then i called her again but i had to cut her off short for dinner but didn't feel too guilty about it cos i phone her like every other day!!

i finished my book which was amazing but i was so sad that it had to end i wanted it to go on and on and on! so anyways after i'd finished that i rang lesley and she told me that she's half-way through the book i got her (Isabel Allende's City Of The Beasts - amazing book) and we just chatted randomly for ages and at the same time i was chatting online to my mate Ray (he doesn't like his full name Raymond but i totally love that!!)

after my call to lesley i was allowed to call Sammi (i say allowed cos i told her that i would only call her on sunday if i had finished my book by then!) so i phone her and tell her i finished my book and we also talk randomly for ages (i think i was a bit rude to keep in the phone to her for so long knowing that she had company - hope matteo kept gavin company - if he didn't and gavin was sat with you getting bored whilst you were on the phone then i apologise to you and ask you to apologise to him for me too!) but i'm glad i got to ring her cos i can't call her for a month (sobs!) can email and stuff but it's not the same thing is it (will miss ya Sammi mate!!)

tomorrow i get out the guitar! oh my god yes thats right i am actually going to take it out of its box after having it sit in it for almost 10 months!!

i also have a job interview tomorrow for a weekend position in a karen millen department!!

it is so hot here ! Englands always either too hot too wet or too cold its never just perfect! oh well i love it anyway!!

anyways i am going to go and start reading the english patient now and then go to sleep!!

greetings earthlings! shall we have a look at what has been happening in the dull life of ville worshiping raj over the last couple of days? yes? come on then get reading!

friday
did nothing at all during the day (that i can rememner at least!) then in the evening got bored sitting on my own so phoned sammi whilst watching big brother and spoke to her big brother (well by that i mean he answered the phone!) man i wish i had a big brother! hmm enough about big brother! we had a good old chat - yes about random things!!!
watched 8 out of 10 cats and jimmy car said one thing that made me laugh so much i nearly wet myself - "The good news is wayne rooney is fit - no he isn't he's got a head like a potato" HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA - found that so hilarious!
oh and when jayne middlemiss (however you spell it) was talking about paul mccartneys wife - can never remember her name hmmm heather mills? or maybe miller? anyways and they're talking about some dirty movie she's done and jayne says at least heather has her knickers on so you can't see her pie (never heard anyone call it a pie before!) and then johnny vegas suddenly looks up and goes "she's got a pie" oh man that is one fat funny man!! love him!

so onto today - today i went out with sukh to ilford to do a bit of shopping and watch xmen 3 - really good movie (shame about the group of idiots sitting behind us - seriously though i thought it was a bunch of little boys the way they were behaving then at the end of the film when the lights came on i realised it was a group of girls about 15years old - hmm i guess i should stop stereotyping then eh!!)

bought a nice green tshirt and a book and some blue tack! i know its not much but its still retail therapy!! was gonna buy an epilator too but wasn't sure which one to get so came home and did a it of research and am gonn aget the braun silk epil one - man i have a feeling that it'll hurt more than waxing (although waxing doesn't actually hurt! don't know why people always say it does!!) oh and fought off the urge to go to the cheesecake shop - man do they do a good cheesecake!

i got a job interview at lakeside on monday so fingers crossed for that!! - if i do get it and also get a shop job at uni (yeah right like i'll get lucky enough to be offered 2 jobs!!) i think i'll take the lakeside job for the summer then quit when we go back to uni!
