3:25PM - A review of the new Robert Jordan/Brandon Sanderson book

I have to say I'm excited for this series to come to a close. Brandon Sanderson is a VERY good writer and I believe he'll do a great job with it. (Perhaps, better than Robert Jordan)
This review says that it's great. : http://www.dragonmount.com/News/?p=585

Woo!

11:58AM - Yay!

I happy Jeanine won on SYTYCD! But I still think Kayla and Brandon were better dancers.

11:06AM - SYTYCD Favorites and thoughts

Melissa and Ade Rumba

Evan and Randi Butt Dance

My favorite couple is Melissa and Ade. They deliver good stuff every time. Melissa is just amazing.

I adore Evan and love the way he moves. He does move like Gene Kelley to me. Smooth.

I like watching Kayla dance a lot, but hearing her talk kills me a little. She should only dance...no talking!

I'd like to see either Johnathan or Philip gone for the guys and Caitlin or Asuka gone for the girls.

2:55PM

Have I got a cool TV show for you.
It's called Lie to Me on Fox
It's based off a researcher named Paul Ekman.
Pretty tightly based on his stuff
regarding facial expressions and body language and more.
Of course his research ended up focusing on lie detecting.
The show website has a blog by Ekman commenting on pieces of the show and the accuracy of various statements and interpretations.

You can watch five free episodes here:

5:40PM - Late to the party

Avatar: The Last Airbender = Awesome!

I know, it's been around a while, but I'm glad I've found it now. It's one of the best series I've seen in a while. Not only is it great for kids, but it's just as good for adults, if not better.

See it if you haven't!

2:26PM - Pokemon: Plot or lack thereof

"Similarly, sometimes TiVo will have recorded more than one episode of Nora's favorite shows, and when she's choosing something for her daily TV half-hour she will want to see the plot summary on the screen before deciding. This makes sense for Arthur or some of the superhero shows, but I get exasperated when she asks "what's it about" when the show in question is Pokemon. What's it about? It's about Pokemon, to the extent that it's about anything. I mean really, you can't get more closed-universe than Pokemon. Watch it or don't, but let's not pretend that it has any relevance or coherency. "

Being as I have a Pokemon watcher now, I have wholeheartedly agree!

2:46PM - Bill Cosby on Childbirth

A comment from Mike reminded me of this:

Luckily, I'm having an elective C-section, due to a previous C-section and diabetes, so no labor for me this time. The previous 15 hours with William was enough. :)

12:02PM - Yikes!

I'm having a baby in less than 24 hours!

6:32PM - Laughing til I cried

Patrick Rothfuss, who wrote "Name of the Wind", has a blog that is often very funny. This description of the weather in Texas literally had me laughing til I cried...

'As I understand it, in Texas the winter weather is relatively clement, and the summer weather is like being beaten with a burning shovel until you are on fire, then having someone extinguish you by wrapping you in a thick, wet towel that is, somehow, also on fire."
