1. have you ever stared at the clouds when you should have been doing work.2. have you ever wondered why other people think youre crazy for chasing when you know all the time theyre crazy for NOT!3. when you hear a tornado warning and the entire town runs for shelter, screaming "noooooo!", do you run for your car screaming "YES!!!!!"4. thought of a romantic evening as one spent with a loaf of bread, a jug of wine, and some outta sight tornado footage on the VCR.5. done an in depth study of a drain vortex.6. flushed the toilet more than once because youre JUST THAT CLOSE to figuring out the WHOLE THING!7. knocked your xmas miniature village on its side, inverted the miniature xmas tree so it looks like a tornado, taken a picture of it all, and sent it out as a xmas card signed "guess who". [okay, i may be the only one who did that.]8. taunted a tropical depression into becoming a hurricane by yelling at its satellite image, "you call yourself a storm! HA! ive seen dew with more guts than you. you lack convective ambitions. youre weak, WEAK, do you hear me?" [okay, again, i may be the only ones who has done that--but it worked.]9. re-gifted copies of "twister" to other people, because thats the only thing people can think to give you at xmas, and youre running out of places to store them?10. left your family sitting at a picnic table to run to your car because you thought a motorcycle backfiring was thunder.11. when the guys at the water cooler start discussing "fantasies", and yours is owning a columbia weather system.12. stood in 95 degree heat staring at a lone little pocket of convection for hours, not eating, drinking or sleeping, just cause....maybe....13. considered the above to be the absolute BEST way to spend a day.

[ mood \| excited ] baltimore/dc just got its tornado warning, and im watching the barometer drop, with my fingers crossed. oh let this be the system...let this be the system...

i got a rain gauge yesterday, even though what i was looking for was a barometer. all of them were digital, and im not digging the digital. i wanted to build a little outdoor weather station.the cb radio doesnt work. hopefully, i wll be able to fix that soon.

[ mood \| calm ] i got the radio in the mail today, but im still waiting on the antenna. im not completely sure that its going to go as smoothly as i would like, though, because my listed address is a po box, and theyre shipping it ups. hrmph. ::fingers crossed::lots of rain today. earlier, around 12n-2pm it would come down really hard for a minute, then lighten up a little, then the sun would come back out. around 3pm i noticed it getting darker, and its been pretty steady rain since then. for a while the sattelite started to go out, but it didnt last long. theres no thunder or lightening, yet, but im still hoping...hopefully, i will get the car running [legally] again, and get my shit together enough to pay for the car, and then i can get some nice pictures up here. of course, i have to develop them too... :) maybe its about time to invest in a digital. even if i am poor and in debt and constantly crying about it.

[ mood \| ecstatic ] ooh, thanks to my ebay record-selling profits, i just got to foolishly spend my money on a cb radio and antenna.exciting...right?lord, i hope im not the only one talking on it, that would be kind of silly. :)
