1st day of HIGH SCHOOL! XD	[Thursday 08.11.05 @ 8:59pm est]
[ **mood** | bouncy ] Woohoo! I am finally a freshman, thank you very much! XD The first day was so freakin' awesome. <3 My homeroom teacher, Mr. Giles(ancient history) seems evil, but whatever. I had geometry with Ms. South first block, and although she was nice to my class, she seems as though she would turn pure evil by mid-semester. You can just tell... I hate her already.. Second block was PE, and we just sat around without the coaches for over 30 minutes, so I can't say much about that. Except that I'm switching to Driver's ED, because I THOUGHT THAT YOU COULD ONLY TAKE IT IN 10TH GRADE! Ugh. :P So yeah, I could have gotten my learner's permit 3 days ago if I had taken the course, lol. Drama I was the freaking BEST CLASS EVER with Ms. Thompson! She was so awesome. <3 She gave a speech about sex & prostitution(it had something to do with the history of theater)! I AM SERIOUS. ROFL, it was awesome! And we had to come up with a skit in a few minutes time in our groups of 4. My group consisted of me, Katlan, Robbie, and Jesse. It was funny. Jesse & Robbie were choking each other in the back of a car while I was on the cellphone and Katlan was driving. Then Katlan was trying to stop Jesse & Robbie from fighting and we collided with a tree and flipped over, lmao. We all fell on the stage and Ms. Thompson was laughing and said she appreciated our commitment and that we were willing to get our new school clothes dirty. :P And last block was Spanish II with Mr. Fields, and I love him. <333 I'd rather have him than Ms. Lowe! But I have Ms. Lowe for Spanish III second semester, so, yeah. Mr. Fields was funny and gave us spanish nicknames that we are to use at all times in his class. Mine was Eva. :D Anyway, school is awesome, but I hope it doesn't get any hotter than it was today. :/ Thank mother nature for heat schedules. :)

[ **mood** | exhausted ] Went to Abingdon to the Highlands Festival with Brandi yesterday. We go almost every year. But this year, they had nothing new, nor interesting. :P The most fun I had was when me, Brandi, her mom, and my mom sat in the car and me & Brandi listened to music. So I was happy when Vanessa(Brandi's mom) wanted to leave because it was raining and her hair was frizzing, lol. In the end, I stole over a dozen CDs from Brandi to take home and burned+uploaded them to my MP3. ;) They're awesome. <3And OMG, these old black guys in this bar kept looking around while me & Brandi walked by to stare at our butts. I gave one a dirty look, but he just leaned back to get a closer look. :P One was even staring at my mom's butt. And then we almost got run over in a parking lot because we both had our hair parted to the side, but on different sides. So Brandi couldn't see her left and I couldn't see my right, and it almost turned out bad, rofl. :PThe first music video EVER from Jack's Mannequin is supposed to premier on MTV sometime soon, I think. Damn sell-outs. :P I hate MTV with a passion, but I'll be watching for the music video for "The Mixed Tape", 'cause that is such a hot song from a hot band with their first hot CD ever coming out the 23rd. ;) I neeeeeedd it.School starts in 3 days. [ **mood** | okay ] Well, I didn't get to post before, but my grandfather died on Monday at 8:25 PM at my aunt's house, after being transported from a Kingsport hospital.. His wake is tonight at 8:00 PM and his burial is tomorrow morning at 11:00 AM. I'm going to the wake with my dad, and my mom is going to the burial with my dad tomorrow and leaving me to tend to Snoopy, my dachshund.On another note, I keep forgetting to post this, but I read Harry Potter & the Half-Blood Prince. It's not particularly my favorite of the series. In fact, it's probably the second worst, only one notch about the truly awful Harry Potter & the Goblet of Fire, which, by the way, is being released in movie format in November. >.< I hope the director doesn't screw that up, like he did with the 3rd movie. Ick... But anyway, the 6th book was alright, I guess, but not very entertaining or interesting. But OMG, in the end, I swear I almost cried! Lol, if you read the book, you should know the ending. ;) It was so freaking sad... :(I'm currently reading **The Virgin Suicides**, since I saw the movie before(I love Sofia Coppola) and absolutely adored it, and it's pretty good so far. The movie differed from the book though, of course. The next book I plan to read is **Breakfast At Tiffany's**, which is also a movie that I haven't gotten the chance to complete watching yet. Audrey Hepburn. :) <3 So, um, yeah. :PI've been watching some older movies lately. Yesterday, I watched **To Kill a Mockingbird**, which I loved to pieces. *Must remember to read the book.* And before that, I watched **Little Big Man** which alright but not my favorite, and also **One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest** which was just great. :) Must also remember to pick that book up! Changed my schedule!	[Monday 08.01.05 @ 10:29am est]
[ mood** | contemplative ] Ok, I went to the high school at 9:00 AM this morning with my mom to change my schedule. I originally signed up for plain english 9, so I was changing to advanced english 9. Well, for some reason, they had automatically signed me up for advanced english in the second semester. So, um, yeah. :P And also, in the second semester schedule, I took out algebra II and put in spanish III. The guidance counselor actually said that it was better NOT to have 2 math classes each year, because algebra II is already the LAST one, and then comes college courses. She said a LOT of students regret taking too many math courses and then taking pre-cal and calculus I & II in their junior and senior years. :/SO, here is my schedule for BOTH the first and second semester:First SemesterGeometry** with South, C.Health & PE 9 with Prater L.Drama I with ThompsonSpanish II with Lowe, R.Second Semester (I'm not certain of the order, but I am *pretty* sure that this is what the counselor said)Ancient History with GilesEarth Science with AkerSpanish III with LoweAdvanced English 9 with ClarkOverall, I'm happy, except for the fact that I got Ms. Aker for earth science. >.< Even the GUIDANCE COUNSELOR says that she has a bad reputation for being strict, but says that that's only from the bad students who don't do their work, and that I should be fine. He didn't look good. :X I hope he gets better...Absolutely nothing new happening. I've been listening to music most of the summer, as usual. Mainly Bright Eyes, The Decemberists, The Academy Is, Something Corporate, etc. By the way, has anyone bought the new CD by The All-American Rejects? I was going to buy it today at the mall, but wasn't sure if it was as good as their first CD. Well, is it any good? [ **mood** | sick ] Ugh, I probably got no more than 2 hours of sleep last night... I went to bed at like, 11:30 PM or something. I could NOT fall asleep AT ALL until about 2:00 AM. >.< I was so freaking uncomfortable, I couldn't even TRY to sleep without waking back up in 10 seconds because I needed to turn over. I slept about 10 minutes at a time, at the most. I was even thinking of sleeping on the floor, lmao. I was also very hot, but I didn't wanna push the covers off because I have a thing about mosquito bites, lol. :P So I suffered until about 6:00 AM this morning when I decided to just wake up. I was freakin' dizzy and couldn't get up, so I waited another 30 minutes, lmao. The dizziness sort of went away. And to top it off, I had a horrible headache in bed and my stomach hurt like hell... And I almost threw up 3 times. :( Ugh, I feel bad.My dad owes me $40, so I'm gonna buy 2 CDs: The Decemberists & Bright Eyes, and also the limited edition 2-disk DVD of Memento, which is close to the being the best movie of all time, if you ask me. :D <33 It has a special feature that allows you to watch the movie in chronological order. <3333 The movie goes backwards, originally. It's freakin' awesome. ;)

[ **mood** | peaceful ] So um, my grandpa isn't doing as good as we hoped. :/ The doctors found 2 heart blockages. They said that with them, he wouldn't live longer than possibly a year, but probably shorter than that. And they said that with his age, they wouldn't be able to perform a surgery. So he doesn't have long to live. :XI went and rented a couple of older movies to watch tonight: Gone With the Wind & Casablanca. <33 Rawr. Old movies are the best. Especially romances. :DI'm planning to buy 4 CDs sometime in the near future: The Decemberists, Motion City Soundtrack, The Postal Service, and The Ataris. <3 I listen to mainly independent pop, rock, hark rock, etc. So, yeah. No MTV crap for me. Well, a COUPLE of my bands are on MTV(i.e. Fall Out Boy, etc.), but NOT that many.Well, off to watch FuseTV for a few hours *cough* and join some music communities. [ **mood** | hot ] I haven't been online much at all, and when I have, it was mainly to listen to music or look up good digital cameras. Or read movie reviews. :P My grandad is fine. :) He had hip replacement surgery, but he came out of it just fine, no problems. He's at Norton Community now, in rehab. He is having a lot of trouble walking, but it's not like that's any different than when he was home. :/ My aunt(the nurse) says that he might and might not come home. He may go to a nursing home if he can't walk well. We'll have to see...I went to Val's house today to swim and got sunburn all over again. :X I went last Wednesday to her house and burned my back and chest to a crisp. OUCH. It started to fade, but I went back today, and apparently I have faulty sunblock or something. I loaded the stuff on, and I burned my face and back again. GRRRR. But I had fun. Except when I absolutely could not sink AT ALL. I was trying to touch the bottom but kept floating to the surface.**WEDNESDAY!**=War of the WorldsCan't wait! Although I hate Tom Cruise.. :P And coming soon....Charlie & the Chocolate Factory! I have already read really good things about both movies from people who saw pre-screenings. [ **mood** | restless ] Michael Jackson is innocent of all 10 counts of molestation, administrating alcohol to a minor, and attempting to commit a lewd act. :X I KNEW that he'd get off, and I even believe that he didn't commit those acts with that specific boy, because he & his mother were just out for his money. But I do believe that he IS a pedophile and should be in prison. Even the JURORS stated that they think he is one, but that he didn't do anything with the boy in question. Too bad he payed off all the other accusers to settle it out of court. :PI've been going to bed at 1 or 2:00 AM every night, and awaking at noon. :P Yeah, it's a bit screwed. I am so freaking bored with nothing to do, that I don't even have a reason to get up before noon...I rebooted my entire computer, deleting all the files and re-downloading the stuff I really needed. I could have just uninstalled the programs I didn't want, but I was so overly bored that I thought this would be more fun, lmfao. I am such a loser. XPI've been reading some short horror stories by Robert W. Chambers from his book The King in Yellow. The stories are kinda old(20th century, I believe), but they are really good. <3 I especially loved The Yellow Sign. :) And I'm also re-reading The Lovely Bones, my favorite book of all time. I can't wait for the movie to come out in 2007(that's late, damn it!). The director is Peter Jackson. :D That's oh-so-awesome, lol. Hope he doesn't screw it up. :XNothing much else going on. So I had to just put the artist. >.< But I'm listening to I Slept With Someone In Fall Out Boy & All I Got Was This Stupid Song Written About Me by Fall Out Boy. Their new CD is real good. Go buy it! :X <3I am incredibly bored. We haven't even been out of school for 2 weeks, and I already have nothing to do at my boring home. All I've been doing is getting on the internet(although rarely), doing odd jobs for my dad to earn money for a new digital camera(I picked out a really good one!), watching TV/movies, reading, and laying outside. I've finished 2 books so far: the second and third books in The Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants series. :P Next, I'm either going to re-read Harry Potter & the Order of the Phoenix to refresh my mind for the upcoming 6th book, or re-read The Lovely Bones just for the fun of it, since it's my all-time fav book. XD <3BTW, I saw The Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants movie with my mom last Sunday. It was okay. Definitely a chick flick! Lol. That's when I decided to read the books. I couldn't find the first book(which the movie was based upon), so I started with the 2nd, and I just finished the 3rd. #2 is really good. <33 This summer is the most boring of all. But I'm going to South Carolina in a month or something(we've gone every year for my doctor checkups, except for last year), so I'll get to swim in fairly warm water. I never swim in the pool here in Wise. It's always freezing. :P And then I'm going to Washington, D.C. sometime in either July or August to get my mom & me U.S.A. citizenships. Yep, we're aliens. :P I just hope that we don't have to go on the first day of SCHOOL. o.O My mom said it might happen though, and I'll have to miss like, the first week of highschool. I told her that I won't go to D.C. then, but she said I HAVE to, to get my citizenship... Ehh.Nothing else to write about my boring summer. [ **mood** | relaxed ] Yes yes, 'tis finally over. Middle school officially ended on Thursday, and everyone is [technically] a freshman now. *sigh* I actually didn't cry! I never cried on the last day before, but since it was the last day of middle school overall, I thought I would. I kinda felt left out, lol. :/ Everyone was bawling. It felt weird. I'll miss Ms. Meade and Cap'n D(Mr. Davis) a lot. <3 But I won't get to see Ms. Meade anymore because she is transferring to another school, damn it. But I can visit Mr. Davis next year or something. Ms. Collins was about to cry.. I was all upset. :PI've been nostalgic. I actually got out my old diaries from years ago, and was reading them. And then I took out my yearbooks. :'( It was sad.Val came over yesterday and left about an hour ago. We watched movies, mainly. Out of my movies, we watched Fight Club and Big Fish, and I think Val liked them both. <3 She also brought White Noise, which neither of us had seen. OMG, it suckkkkedd! It made absolutely NO sense, they didn't explain anything at the end, and I'm still confused. Plus, Keaton did a horrible acting job. :/ Lousy script + bad acting= sucky flick. XPI might be going to the movies tomorrow. Since there are absolutely no upcoming movies this summer that I may possibly want to see(with the exception of Fantastic Four), me and my mom may see The Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants, ROFL. It's based on a book, it got great reviews, and I haven't seen any chick flicks since, like, last spring. :P Lmao, it's a mother/daughter bonding movie. :)

[ **mood** | nostalgic ] Yesterday was Field Day at Mr. Barker's house(the music teacher). It was...blahhhh. I played badminton until I couldn't feel my right arm, and it's still sore. :P I also sat under a table umbrella thing for a while, ate a hot dog+chips, and competed in 2 games. Me, Valerie, and Kayla were in the 3-man carry, but they dropped me, lmao. We came in last place. And me+Kayla were in the egg toss, and we made it a little while before I threw the egg over Kayla's shoulder and it busted. :P I laid on the grass for a while, just sat around and listened to music, etc. It was freaking hot and they didn't even turn on the water like they did last year! GRRRR. I was angry.. Overall it was alright, but not as good as last year. I didn't even turn the least bit red, while everyone else burned! MWUAHAHA. Lmao.We did absolutely nothing today. In algebra, we studied for 10 minutes max. Then I played truth-or-dare with Robert, Joe, Justin(JH-San), Brandon, Thomas(TT), Chris, and Kevin(Mr. K/CJ~). One of my truths was: if I was a lesbian, who would I wanna date? ROFL. Some of the guys answered it too(except picking guys, of course). And then Chris was dared to smack a girl on the butt, but he couldn't choose who. So when Robert was counting down for him to choose, he slapped mine. EWWW. o.O It was creepy. And then Mr. K was dared to do something(forgot what), but then the dare was changed to SLAPPING MY BUTT, and he did. Ew... Robert had to lick the chalkboard and the chalkboard eraser, lol. And he also had to describe one of his sexual fantasies(I dared him too, with the suggestion being from Val). He would only tell Mr. K though. :( But I heard that it had something to do with 2 imaginary people, ROFL.So yeah, the days are dwindling. Thursday is the last day of school! :'( Then I'll be a highschooler. I have never cried on any last day of school, but I about did on the bus home today. And it's not even the last day! [ **mood** | hyper ] So yeah, if you read my old LJ(bladesofglass), then you should know that I've had school, etc. to deal with, but now I made a new LJ. Welcome to vanishingact. :D This won't be friends only, HOWEVER, there may occasionally be friends only entries, if I need to post something private. So it'd probably be better if you added me. ;) But anyway...Friday we had the 8th grade prom/formal. It was awesome! The decorations were pretty. <3 There were castles, a bridge, an arch, fake flowers, lights, streamers, etc. Half the music was old, but whatever. :P They played the _SPICE GIRLS_, rofl. I still knew all the words too... >.< Lol. I ended up having 2 dates, lmfao. I was originally going with Robert, but I broke up with him the day before the dance because he told me that he likes me AND someone else(my friend Valerie). :P So he apparently didn't get the message, because he still thought I was going with him at the dance, and I had to get Kayla to tell him that I was going with Aaron. He was mad. He kept telling Aaron that he stole his date, lol. It was sad to see him alone, but whatever. :P I don't like him..I went and watched Star Wars twice so far. <3333 :D I went on the opening day at the 7:00 showing with my dad, Robert, Aaron, Justin/JH-San, Chris, and Robbie. I made my dad sit close to the front because I was switching seats the whole time--from my friends, to my dad. He said he went blind from sitting up front. :P And then I watched Star Wars again that Saturday with Kayla and Val.
