This colourful museum is a little off the beaten track, yet all the better for it. Jozef Mehoffer was one of the artistic stars of the turn of the century. Later, he was a respected professor of art at Cracow's Academy. He lived in this mansion, and it has been preserved with great care by his descendants. The house is an enchanting time capsule chock-full of beautiful furniture, paintings and curios. The garden has also been resurrected in recent months, and it was awarded thre prize of finest architectural project of the year by leading newspaper Gazeta Wyborcza. It'll take a little time to return the garden to it's former glory, but the seeds have certainly been sown. An in all, a must for art-lovers.

When I lived in Cracow years ago, I was passing by this building unaware of what kind of artistic and historic gems it was hiding. It took me years to finally make a visit to the Museum. I was very impressed by the authentic ethos of this mansion that the crators of the Museum managed to preserve. What an excellent collection of classy furniture! This is an example of how our ancestors lived in Cracow... And the idea of resurecting the Garden is absolutely commendable. I will watch it grow and blossom on my future visits.
