LOW rip current risk at all ocean beaches today!

While the risk for rip currents is low from Duck to Ocracoke, life-threatening rip currents may still be present. Strongest rip currents often occur a couple hours either side of low tide, which occurs around noon today.

Remember LOW risk does not mean NO risk!

Expect mostly sunny skies today with temperatures in the lower 80s. West to northwest winds at 5 to 10 mph, becoming north to northeast in the afternoon. Surf height 1 to 2 feet. Water temperatures: Duck Pier...64. Jennettes Pier...67. Oregon Inlet Marina...80. Rodanthe Pier...72. Avon Pier...78.
