What's better than a day at a theme park? Two days, of course. Luckily for thrillseekers, Merlin Entertainments, the parent company behind some of the UK's top attractions, has launched an enticing new deal that gets Brits entry into two attractions for the price of one ticket.

Merlin Entertainments has launched its new Alton Towers Twice the Fun Ticket, costing from £32. Not only is it cheaper than buying tickets on the gate, it unlocks free entry to a second theme park of your choice.

This means families and individuals can enjoy two days of thrills for the price of one. You can revisit Alton Towers or choose to visit Thorpe Park, Legoland Windsor or Chessington World of Adventures, the decision is yours.

The deal comes just in time for the Easter school holidays. The Alton Towers Twice the Fun Ticket is valid until Friday, May 15, meaning there's plenty of time to visit the popular attractions.

A spokesman for Merlin Entertainments said: "Merlin Entertainments is inviting families to make the most of the Easter break with their limited time Twice the Fun offer, alongside egg-cellent seasonal experiences, sweet nostalgia, and adventures that span from skyline views to springtime animals across the UK.

"Whether you’re planning big coaster moments, family-friendly rides, or an action-packed day with friends, Twice the Fun is the perfect excuse to squeeze more adventure out of spring, without stretching the budget. Guests can use their second visit to return to the same park or choose another participating theme park."

The new offer comes off the back of the opening of the world's first Bluey rollercoaster. Bluey the Ride: Here Come the Grannies! is themed on the fan-favourite episode from the multi-award-winning TV show following the Aussie pups and their family and friends.

Younger guests will also be delighted to explore the UK’s only CBeebies Land, where they can interact with their favourite characters across a variety of colourful, preschool-friendly attractions. Little ones can take a ride on the Octonauts Rollercoaster Adventure and the Night Garden Magical Boat Ride, as well as play in Justin's House: Pie-O-Matic Factory and the Hey Duggee clubhouse.

Adrenaline junkies can test their courage on the legendary twists of the Wicker Man or face the sheer vertical drop of the iconic Oblivion. From junior coasters to high-speed mysteries like Th13teen, the park ensures a non-stop day of heart-pounding action for older children and adults alike.

Here's how to book Alton Towers Twice the Fun Ticket

For theme park fans looking to try somewhere different, Wowcher's Theme Park Breaks could be the ideal choice. They're currently promoting a Gulliver's Valley Resort Stay and Theme Park Entry deal starting at £139, with options available during school holidays for a family of four looking for an exciting break.

If your family is keen on outdoor adventures, consider a National Trust Family Membership starting at £103 annually. It contains free entry to more than 500 places from houses and gardens to coastlines and countryside.

With more than two million visitors coming through the park gates every year, many have shared their experiences in TripAdvisor. One five-star review said: "The trips to Alton Towers are always great and the queue times were very reasonable over Easter Weekend. We managed ten rollercoaster rides on the Saturday and took a more leisurely approach on Easter Sunday. Always a perfect weekend and the staff are always pleasant."

Another added: "The rides were amazing. We had a really good time and loved it so much. The staff are really kind and the rides are fabulous."

A third penned: "Excellent day out, we got on everything. The app is a huge thumbs up , keeps you up to date with ride closure and waiting times, which means you are able to plan your day better. The Smiler was a favourite for the day followed strongly by the Wicker Man. Will definitely be back soon."

Not every visitor experience was quite so positive, with one guest noting: "Felt like the park was overbooked in comparison to other years. Anyone that waits 60 mins for a round child's rollercoaster is insane and their children must have amazing patience."

But somebody else loved their trip to Alton Towers, adding: "This experience was absolutely amazing, I wouldn't change it. Can't wait to go again. Rides were thrilling, staff were fun and polite, all of the above."
