Luca Zidane has an impressive CV. He has a Champions League medal, two Club World Cups, a UEFA Super Cup and a Supercopa de Espana. He won each of those titles at Real Madrid, when his father Zinedine Zidane was coach.

He was always singled out for his father being the coach, despite the fact that he was only at Real Madrid and their academy because he was good enough to be. He came through every step at the club, but he never managed to take off there once he reached the first team.

Countless people doubted if he was even good enough to play in LaLiga Santander, but games like Saturday's against Real Madrid showed just how high his ceiling is. Zinedine Zidane always argued that the third-choice goalkeeper should be a youth player, but critics were never able to look beyond Luca's surname.

This season, though, Luca Zidane is proving those who doubted him wrong. He has impressed time and again in LaLiga Santander and his latest display came against the club where he started his career.

Marco Asensio was denied by three good saves, while others found themselves frustrated before Karim Benzema found a way to beat him late on thanks to a great Vinicius pass.

Little by little, Luca Zidane is emerging from the shadow his surname has always cast over him. Now, he's finally starting to get the respect he deserves in LaLiga Santander.
