Fenway Portal Flood Protection Project Now Complete | Updates (original) (raw)

Updated on November 23, 2020

Crews completed installation of the steel doors, floodgates, and overhead catenary wire at Fenway Portal this weekend, and the project is now complete. The new doors and floodgates will reduce the risk of damage from flooding on the Green Line, resulting in fewer and shorter unplanned service disruptions.

Crews will make final adjustments to the new systems and operational training in December. No further service disruptions are anticipated for this work.
