Ride is a film overstuffed with themes, ideas, and characters, but it works because it's made with the kind of urgency that comes from a filmmaker who has to tell this story and get it out on celluloid right now, or they'll bust.

Ride is an enthralling movie about the lengths a family is willing to go to protect one another, tugging at the heartstrings and leaving an impression long after the credits roll.

A beautifully-acted genre picture with a wonderful sense of place.

Only Howell truly embodies the spirit of the Old West.
