The Fall Guy is hugely entertaining. A love letter to stunt persons and to filmmaking in general, the film is a romantic comedy for everyone who hates romantic comedies and an action thriller for those less than keen on the genre.
This is a ridiculously fun movie, anchored by a movie star in a part that fits him perfectly and a director who really has been working toward this film for his entire career.
Happy 1 year anniversary the fall guy one of my favorite movies it’s funny fun I love Joey and colt relationship with each other I love the whole movie industry business murder mystery stuntman storyline I love panvison cameras it look amazing I love all the action scenes 5 star 10 out 10 star 100 out 100 star
This is the best rom-com I have seen in years! Loved it, loved the action, loved the story. Nice Job!! Please make a part 2!!!
The Fall Guy is a delight from start to finish, thanks to a sparkling script, thrilling action sequences and to-die-for comic chemistry between the two leads.
The Fall Guy is funny, it’s sexy, and it features the boy toy version of “Barbie” MVP Ryan Gosling — which is to say, this time around, he embodies the ultimate action figure.
Loosely inspired by the Lee Majors-starring TV show from the 1980s and given a rocket-booster jolt of stardom from the pairing of Gosling and Emily Blunt, “The Fall Guy” is pure popcorn entertainment — an absolutely ludicrous yet consistently entertaining, old-fashioned action/romance combo platter that plays like a feature-length pitch to the Academy to add a best stunts category (as it should).
A solid serving of popcorn entertainment.
The latest jacked up, action extravaganza from stunt man turned director David Leitch (his last film, the not-very-good Bullet Train, is still leagues ahead of this movie in terms of imagination and execution), teems with contempt for the audience it is desperate to win over.
THUMBS. UP. This is pinnacle filmmaking. I’m obsessed. I can’t believe how good this is. PHENOMENAL - ENTERTAINING - MASTERFUL - TIMELESS The Fall Guy is ‘Fenomenal’. By every definition of the word. The script hooks you in the first 60 seconds, then the story locks you in within 4 minutes and you're invested. I could place a magnifying glass over every facet of this film and still say it was amazing. Everything comes together to make a high quality film that employs comedy and action and even the wow factor better than most movies. This is just PINNACLE FILMMAKING. Leitch has set the bar high for Hollywood. His vision is so clear as every scene brings it to life under his masterful direction. Palpable chemistry between Gosling and Blunt. Production design is PRIME. David Scheunemann handles the different visual worlds of the film and the film-within-the-film like a cake walk. Every shot is so cool.Incredible script… it develops the plot without sacrificing the characters, each with their own unique and complimenting arc. It keeps you laughing, gasping, and smiling nonstop. There's something that feels so… classic about this film... being based on the show from the 80s, that's not surprising. Yet, it also feels impeccably original too. It’s like seeing something I’ve never seen in a movie before… yet, it has all the classic elements: mystery, action, romance, comedy, drama… it’s… timeless.
Güzel filmdi, keyifle izledim. Ortalama ve üstü seviyedeydi. Böyle kafa dağıtmalık bir yapım. Tavsiye ederim.
Creative concept, but falls into the romantic tropes making it predictable. The stunts are off-the-wall good and the acting is solid, but this isn't a movie that changes your perspective or even pushes the needle.
I'm a Gosling fan (yay Canadian) and wanted to like this movie, but one thing stood in its way- Emily Blunt's acting, oh my god it was terrible (and Hannah wasn't that much better). That is all.
There's way too much relationship drama and the plot is just dumb imo. Also Hannah Waddingham makes me want to grind my teeth so hard they all fall out.
