With no risk of over-subtlety, Uproar mixes gentle quirky comedy with a few digs at clumsy white allies and the myth of the innocent bystander.

A story of family expectations, self-realization, and political altercations, Uproar packs an emotional punch while remaining consistently funny.

Tonal shifts will have some dismissing Uproar as slight, but I think its motives are strong enough to succeed regardless.
