The best thing season two does is dig into both how alluring and how dangerous the sensates’ connection is.

We Got This Covered

The show’s second season continues to appropriately evolve this year, doing a good job of not only expanding upon--and answering--central questions raised by the end of season 1, but also not being coy with finally explaining the Big Mysteries and introducing new knots for viewers to unravel.

This show, these characters somehow make me feel happy and hopeful, really likable cast. Original, unique and a celebration of life.

What a great experience! Season was needed a bit of pushing (and patience), but season 2 absolutely rocked it! Character development was sensational and the story line progressed at a much faster pace. I cant wait until season 3.

It’s a dizzying, bewildering, wonderful joy to watch their communal moments.

Television is the medium that grants auteurs the most creativity. It can lead to indulgent storytelling, but in the case of a series like Sense8, real artistry, too.

The Hollywood Reporter

Sense8 is more visual feast and emotional touchstone than it is heavyweight story or smart puzzle. For some, it will be a guilty pleasure, but that might be selling short the important "love is love" message it espouses. Sense8 is probably better described as a series you experience more than understand.

Slant Magazine

When Sense8 returns the sensates to their distinct and isolated story arcs, the series still falters.

Collider

For all its evident ambition, and its veneer of inclusion, Sense8 is no more interested in the messy details of progress than The Avengers.

The second season was disappointing. Most reviewers seem to like the second season better than the first. But I found not enough plot and too much pointless action in the second season.

i absolutely adored the first season however i've been very disappointed in the character development, the story-telling and depth of the characters this season. The Wachowskis seem self-conscious, trying to teach politcal and social awareness instead of just telling a **** writers seem to be bought their own hype.. Not loving this season which is a real shame as i've looked forward to it since the first season

So, so painful to watch. The trans character is obviously the writer (who is trans) working through their family/mommy/acceptance issues and the like in public and dragging the audience along with rather than working through it on the couch with a therapist. If I was interested in that, I'd watch a different show about it. None of this has anything to do with the show or story, much like the other character's totally contrived dramas but that one is the worst. The ending to the season was shameful, I've never seen a worse ending to a season in my life. 2/3 of the episode is total nonsense and then a twist at the end that needed to be set up throughout the season for it to land properly but instead of spending time on the only thing that matters, the Sense8 plot thread, they spend it at gay pride, **** weddings, dramas about breakups and get-togethers that just aren't believable. Really embarrassing show for Netflix, I wouldn't have put my name on this crap if I were them and for the writers, ugh, just the worst and overly indulgent pile of nonsense ever. Never watching anything with their name on it again and I hope they retire as the world does not need more steaming piles of crap in it than it already has.
