‘I hate politics’: Ivanka Trump breaks silence about a wide range of issues on podcast (original) (raw)

Looks can be deceiving.
Ivanka Trump just admitted on “The Skinny Confidential/Him & Her” podcast that she’s not “always” as confident as she appears.
“I have fears and anxieties just like everyone,” the 43 year old revealed on Monday’s show. “I think as I’ve grown into myself I am more comfortable with who I am.”
“I’ve adopted an attitude of, it just feels better to be me, you know, than to try to be something else — even if people don’t like it.”
Trump says that with age comes wisdom.
“Any confidence I project comes from just being increasingly more comfortable in my own skin,” continued the mother of three who added that she isn’t that different from regular folks who are out of the limelight.
“I still have insecurities and all the rest of the things that most people, if they are really being honest and if they’re being introspective, will admit to also having.”
The wide ranging chat with Austin-based couple Lauryn and Michael Bosstick naturally gravitated toward her father Donald Trump who will take over as president again Jan. 20.
The Indian Creek Village resident promises to stay out of White House matters this time around.
“I love policy and impact, I hate politics. Unfortunately, the two are not separable,” the former advisor complained. “There’s a darkness in that world that I don’t really want to welcome into mine.”
The native New Yorker told the hosts that she’ll be rooting for POTUS from afar, in South Florida, and definitely doesn’t envy the position.
“The enormity of the decisions you’re making on a daily basis,” she said. “It’s a very lonely perch.”
