First terrestrial grossmanite (a reduced-Ti-rich clinopyroxene), with further reduced minerals (osbornite, khamrabaevite, tistarite, wassonite, native iron and copper; Si-Fe, Si-Ti-Fe species), hibonite, carmeltazite, and a Ti-Mn-Fe silicate, were found in corundum aggregates from a kimberlite from the eastern part of this region. These phases are suggested to be derived from the lowermost mantle.
Note: the above occurrence is both reported as "Karpiska-1 pipe" and "Karpinska-1" pipe, but such a locality is attributed to Arkhangelsk area (Russia) site in other papers.
Compare the Rakefet complex (Carmel volcano, Israel), and Sierra de Comechingones (Argentina).
