Located near Sefrou. A famous locality for producing numerous groups of aragonite trillings. The locality was earlier referred to as Tagnaneit or Takaneit.
Note: "Tazouta mine" (as stated earlier in Mindat) is a misnomer; the aragonites are found in an open outcrop, which had never been mined (Peter Seroka).
Tazouta (Arabic: تازوطة) itself is a commune in Sefrou Province, Fès-Meknès, Morocco.
