Uranium Deposit.

In Sierra Cuadrada there are several uranium bodies lodged in sandy banks and sub-horizontal shales, of Cretaceous age, mineralization relating to the content of organic material from the strata. The dimensions of the bodies vary between 50 and 100 meters, ranging between 0.04 and 0.18% U3O8.
Main mineralization is carnotite, autunite, and schröckingerite.

Augite in Sierra Cuadrada appears in analcimic basanites.
