Orthorhombic
Name:
Named in honour of Leonid Anatolyevich Pautov (Леонид Анатольевич Паутов) (b. 1958), A.E. Fersman Museum, Moscow, Russia, in recognition of his studies of minerals by physical methods, the mineralogy of alkaline pegmatites, and the mineralogy of cesium.
An unusual caesium sulphide mineral that occurs as small elongated black aggregates. The only currently known mineral combining Cs and S. The second Cs-Fe mineral after caesiumpharmacosiderite.
