Name:

Named after Al Qatrana (also Al Qatraneh), a small village situated 15 km southeast from the Amman Aquaba Asia-Jordan Desert Highway, and close to the type locality.

Known synthetic analogue. The only currently known natural Ca-Zn hydroxide, or possibly a Ca hexahydroxozincate.
