All the stars missing from Hannah Montana reunion after family fallout (original) (raw)

Hannah Montana was the Disney Channel juggernaut that made Miley Cyrus a global superstar but as she celebrated the 20th anniversary with a special documentary, several of her co-stars were notably absent

In the late 2000s, Miley Cyrus was propelled to fame like no one else when she was cast in the title role of the Disney Channel sitcom Hannah Montana. Over the course of four seasons, Miley starred as a schoolgirl who lived a secret double life as a world-famous pop star with the disguise of a long blonde wig.

The programme became a billion-dollar franchise for Disney, and spawned five top-selling soundtrack albums, a cinematic film that featured Taylor Swift, and a sell-out tour that created a demand for tickets not seen since the times of The Beatles or Elvis Presley.

But Miley was not alone in the show's success and was famously joined her father Billy Ray Cyrus, best known for his country track Achy Breaky Heart, alongside other then-teen stars like Emily Osment , Mitchell Musso and Moises Arias. The series even attracted a slew of A-list guest stars like Dolly Parton, Dwayne 'The Rock' Johnson, and Brooke Shields to name but a few.

On March 24, the 20th anniversary of the series' premiere, Miley returned to Disney for a one-off documentary celebrating the legacy of Hannah Montana alongside her father, her mother Tish Cyrus, and even Chappell Roan made a guest appearance, but a few of her co-stars were notably absent from the much-anticipated reunion.
