Zoe Ball's son has been quizzed on her BBC Radio 2 absence.
Woody Cook, who Zoe shares with iconic DJ Fatboy Slim (Norman Cook) recently took to social media to share advice for fellow DJs. It comes after Zoe, 53, has been absent from her role at Radio 2 for five weeks, sparking concern amongst fans. Ball last appeared on her breakfast programme back on August 8 and her slot has been filled with a string of replacements including Scott Mills and Gaby Roslin.
The Mirror previously told how Zoe would be returning to the Zoe Ball Breakfast Show this month but the BBC issued no comment on a possible date for her return. Since Zoe's absence started, there has been no information about why she has taken an extended period of leave.
Woody, 23, took to his Instagram page to offer advice for fellow DJs on how to record or even livestream their sets for fans. Writing alongside his post, Woody penned: "Calling DJ's from the bedroom to the stage. Want to record or livestream your sets? The Howler could be your answer!!" His upload which has been liked over 500 times was soon flooded by comments from fans.

"How's your mom doing?" asked one. Zoe took an extended leave of absence earlier this year when she revealed her mother Julie Peckham had been diagnosed with cancer. But the radio and TV star sadly announced just weeks later that her mum had passed away. The veteran broadcaster briefly returned to the Radio 2 breakfast show at the beginning of August, but after just a couple of days, she was replaced by Scott Mills again and hasn’t been back since.
Listeners have also expressed concern on social media, claiming they need answers about Zoe's absence. "What has happened to Zoe Ball? She's been off the Radio for 5 weeks in total - no mention of her whatsoever the last few weeks. I hope she's ok," one said while another simply posted: "I hope #ZoeBall is OK."
Scott Mills previously addressed Zoe's mystery absence as he clarified why he was on the programme as people may have been confused when hearing him. The former BBC Radio 1 broadcaster told listeners: "If you set your alarm every morning to go off at 6:30 am and normally Zoe comes on, please do not freak out. You have not overslept. If you've just put us on this morning, it's Scott Mills in for Zoe for the next few weeks. I'm sending you all my love Zo', as are the team." The BBC schedule suggests that Zoe will return to the airwaves on September 23.
