We may only just be into autumn (and I'm still holding out hope for one last wave of warm weather this month) but I'm already starting to buy key pieces for my winter wardrobe before they sell out. One jumper that's at the top of my wish list every year; it's now back on sale – but you'll need to be quick, because it sells out every year.

Arket's Alpaca-Wool Blend Jumper is what all the fashion influencers wear in winter, and you'll have seen it all over Pinterest or Instagram; slouchy and comfy yet still luxe-looking, it's the perfect cool-girl item of knitwear, looking equally as good thrown over leggings and trainers as styled up with smart trousers or a skirt.

It's available in a number of different colours on the Arket website – from black and brown to pink and lime green – but these always fly off the shelves, so if you're tempted, I recommend shopping now before the weather starts getting really cold.

Made from a blend of alpaca and wool, it features a round neck, oversized fit and loose sleeves, and has racked up dozens of five-star reviews on the Arket website.

Last year I bought this jumper in the colour mole (currently unavailable), and it fast became one of my most worn items of clothing. I loved how easy it was to throw on and how it instantly made any outfit look that little bit cooler, whether it was leggings while working from home or a mini skirt and chunky gold jewellery for an evening out.

I loved it so much that I've just bought it in a another colour, dark charcoal grey, which I also know I'll get loads of wear out of.

It washes well too; despite being labelled as 'hand wash only', I've found that it comes out fine when washed on the delicate or woollens setting on the washing machine.

In fact, the only thing that so far has stopped me from buying it in all the colours is the price; at £87 it's not the cheapest. However, I tend to shop whenever Arket (or parent company H&M, where Arket is also sold online) runs its '15% off for members' shopping events, or by using money off rewards I accrue from being an H&M member. And honestly, given the amount I wore it last year, cost-per-wear it's very good value.

If you are after a slightly cheaper alternative, however, the Fat Face Anna Cable Cotton Jumper is a similar shade of charcoal grey as the Arket one, and costs £52.
