Fashion editor Lauren Goodwin-Grafton has just added these 5 pieces to her basket

It's official! autumn is here which brings with it the annual wardrobe switch-up. If, like me, you are looking to invest in a few new pieces to freshen up your look for the new season then you've come to the right place. The high street can be a minefield of offerings so if you don't know where to start i'll let you into a little secret. Want to know where i'll be headed on my first pit stop? Marks and Spencer-of course.

You'll see me regularly raving about the high street's collections and there's no denying the brand has gone from strength to strength over the past few seasons, not to mention teaming up for some iconic collabs, Sienna Miller x M&S was a genius collection for the brand as they opened up the doors to a younger customer.

Where do I start with Autumn/Winter 24? Marks and Spencer has been dropping pieces from their new collections over the past few weeks and fashion editors, including me, have been going crazy for it. You'll find trend-led staples alongside expensive-looking wardrobe classics, not to mention accessories that could have fallen straight off the catwalk...wow it's a 10/10 from me!

Those with their finger on the fashion pulse would have noticed that leopard print is all over the high street at the moment and it's set to be one of the seasons biggest trends.

I've been looking for a pair of pointed heels that will dress up my faithful heels, and that I can actually walk in. Thankfully kitten heels are all the rage so these cuties went straight in my shopping basket this week.

3.) Wool Blend Midi Blazer Dress With Silk

SHOP: £129 here

This blazer dress combines quality and style (

I'm all for pieces working harder in my wardrobe so I don't have to which is why this blazer dress caught my eye. The wool-silk blend makes it a slightly higher price point but in terms of quality and price per wear, it's a no-brainer.

The silhouette is not only a classic that'll stand the test of time but it's a piece that will work for countless occasions. I'll be wearing as a dress with statement knee highs and as a longline blazer over jeans.

4.) Crepe A-Line Midaxi Skirt

SHOP: £35 here

Winter whites look expensive when worn with black leather accessories (

When thinking about your new season wardrobe, first of all consider the pieces your current wardrobe is missing. I don't currently own a neutral skirt which is why I'll be shopping this stunning crepe midi skirt.

It'll pair perfectly with my new faux fur bomber and can even be dressed up come party season with metallics. Winter whites have never looked so good...

5.) Tweed Textured Short Utility Jacket

SHOP: £75 here

This tweed jacket oozes quiet luxury appeal (

The ladylike side of me is drawn to boucle (plus it's a classic) and anyone would be mistaken for thinking this design was from any high-end French brand Maje or Sandro. Luckily this jacket comes in at under £75 which is music to my ears.

Pair casually with jeans or for an old-money asthetic why not wear with the Split Back Maxi Column Skirt, £27.50 here. Sunnies optional!
