Jose Mourinho - News, views, pictures, video - The Mirror (original) (raw)
A translator at Barcelona under Bobby Robson, Jose Mourinho won the Champions League with Porto in 2004 before moving to Chelsea, where he infamously announced himself as The Special One. Three years at Stamford Bridge brought five trophies, but he was sacked in 2007. He moved on to Inter Milan where he won the treble in 2010, earning himself a move to Real Madrid in the process. After three years at the Bernabeu it was announced he would be returning to Chelsea in the summer of 2013 after six years away. He won the Premier League in 2015 but was sacked just months later with the Blues languishing in 16th position in the table in December. He returned to management on 27 May 2016, signing a three-year contract to become Manchester United boss, but lasted just two-and-a-half years before he was sacked. In November 2019, he was appointed as Tottenham Hotspur manager. His time at Tottenham came to an end in 2021, and the Portuguese landed at Roma later that year. In his first season back in Italy, Mourinho led the Giallorossi to the inaugural Europa Conference League final, with his team beating Feyenoord to lift the trophy.
