Keir Starmer is the Prime Minister of the United Kingdom and Leader of the Labour Party, having stormed the party into major gains in the 2024 General Election.

He has been the MP for Holborn and St Pancras since the 2015 general election and previously served as Shadow Brexit Secretary in Jeremy Corbyn's Shadow Cabinet. After Corbyn's resignation following the 2019 election defeat, Sir Keir won the 2020 Labour leadership election and became Leader of the Opposition.

Before joining politics, he practised in criminal defence work and was appointed as Queen's Counsel (QC) in 2002. He then served as Director of Public Prosecutions and Head of the Crown Prosecution Service from 2008 to 2013.

In his personal life, Sir Keir is married to NHS occupational health worker Victoria Alexander, and the pair have two children, a son and a daughter.
