A travel guru has shared her ultimate hack for saving money on airport parking - a two-week stay can easily cost more than £200, but not if you follow this advice

Jetting off for a well-deserved getaway might sound thrilling, but let's face it, the costs can quickly turn your excitement into anxiety. Luckily, a travel guru has just dropped the ultimate money-saving tip.

If you're not local to an airport, driving can seem like the smart move. It simplifies getting all that luggage to the airport, and having your car ready and waiting when you land back is bliss. However, airport parking fees are notoriously expensive, so tapping into your holiday fund is almost a given.

Money Saving Expert's Martin Lewis says: "Even when done right, low-cost airport parking options can be hard to find. The longer you're away the more it costs."

When it comes to forking out for a two-week stint, London City Airport tops the charts as the priciest place to park, charging an average of £213.14. Parkers at Gatwick will face fees of £193.14, those at Heathrow will pay £127.99, and at Stansted, you'll be set back £146.71. Liverpool John Lennon Airport offers the best deal with a fortnight's parking costing around just £80.

Travel content creator Jazz shared her secret to finding cheap parking at UK airports, and said: "I use Your Parking Space and Just Park to get cheap parking whenever I am departing from a UK airport." In a video posted on her Instagram page, which has more than 70,000 followers, she demonstrated how to input the desired date and time into the Your Parking Space or Just Park apps. This reveals a map with various parking options and their respective prices.

She said: "This hack is amazing. It saves me so much money when I am departing from UK airports."

One follower who tried Jazz's method exclaimed: "This is amazing. Thank you! I've just found parking near the airport for less than 1/3 of the airport parking price." Another praised: "This is such a great hack, I learnt from you. You have saved me so many coins."

A third chimed in: "I just returned from Stansted three hours ago and did this exact thing using the same app. Five stars."
