After another successful Amazon Prime Day back in July, the Prime Big Deals Day is back again for Autumn and will be running from October 8-9, just in time for us to get a head start on our Christmas shopping. With plenty of amazing bargains set to land on the site across tech, fashion, beauty and homeware, now is the perfect time to stock up on those essentials you need to get your home ready for festive hosting, as well as pick up some great deals on presents for loved ones (and yourself, of course).

After launching at midnight on October 8, Prime Day deals have already been hitting the Amazon site, and as a shopping expert I've been checking out the best ones to shop. From savings of up to £270 on big purchases like smart TVs and air fryers, as well as those every day must-haves like skincare, Swarovski bracelets and cosy fur-lined slippers.

If you're in the mood to indulge or are on the hunt for a Christmas present for someone special, Amazon's Big Deals Day event has some cracking offers, including the Calvin Klein Obsession for Women Eau de Parfum. There's a whopping 74% off the 100ml bottle, which is down from its usual price of £84 to £21.94, giving you a saving of £62.

2. Kindle Scribe - was £329, now £229

If you're a Kindle lover looking for an upgrade, Amazon has just the deal for you. As part of its Big Deal Days sale event, the online giant is offering a massive discount on the ultimate Kindle Scribe. This top-of-the-range device usually retails for over £320, but right now, you can snap one up for £229 - that's a huge saving of £100.
