For anyone who is a fan of Jeff Koons, Lidl is selling its own alternative for a fraction of the price. Bargain hunters and home interior fans often visit the budget supermarket in a bid to find deals and discounts in its famous middle aisle.

The store is currently selling a fun and quirky ornament that could be mistaken for an iconic high-end sculpture at a glance. Shoppers can get their hands on Lidl's Livarno Home Balloon Sculpture - which may remind art fans of Jeff Koons' famous Balloon Dog.

The ornament is described by Lidl as a '"modern indoor decoration figure made of ceramic with a matte metallic coating". There are four different animals to choose from - giraffe, horse, poodle and dachshund.

They each cost £4 and are available in four different colours - red, green, black and gold. The ornaments are arguably similar in style to sculptures by Jeff Koons.

The artist created his Balloon Dog series of sculptures between 1994 and 2000. The mirror-polished and stainless steel sculpture is extremely rare as only five were ever made. They have since become highly sought-after and exclusive items.

In comparison, Lidl's red dachshund is 20.8x8.3x12cm, the black poodle is 17.5x7.5x17.5cm, the yellow Giraffe is 16.3x7.3x17cm and its green Horse is 17.5x7.6x16.8cm.
