Sol de Janeiro's Perfume Mist Discovery Set contains five travel size sprays

Body and skin care brand Sol de Janeiro has taken over the beauty scene this summer, with its Brazilian Bum Bum Cream and Cheirosa 62 fragrance earning legendary status. When the brand recently released its perfume mist discovery set, I just had to give it a try, as like many people, I'd fallen in love with the Cheirosa 62 spray.

I have many perfumes sitting on my dressing table, however I'm quite new to perfume mists, as the Cheriosa 62 was the only one I'd ever used. Before I purchased it, I wrongly assumed they'd be similar to body sprays which I find don't last - no matter how much you spritz all over yourself, the scent is gone after a few minutes.

The Sol de Janeiro set includes five mini body sprays inspired by Brazilian scents, including the iconic Cheirosa 62 fragrance, and is without a doubt my favourite summer beauty purchase. It costs £40 and can be purchased from various sellers, including Harvey Nichols, however you'll want to be quick if you want to snap it up, as it's currently sold out at many places, including LookFantastic, Cult Beauty and Boots, with these stores saying more stock is coming soon.

The 30ml sprays come in different coloured transparent bottles and are perfect for popping in your handbag to take on the go or for taking on holiday. They have an easy to use spray mechanism and can be used on the body and hair.

The adored Cheirosa 62 has notes of pistachio, salted caramel and vanilla, and is the same fragrance as the Brazilian Bum Bum Cream. It's described as the 'scent of the summer', and I have to agree. I love to use this perfume mist after using the Brazilian Bum Bum Cream and Body Scrub which really makes the delicious scent stay on my body all day.

Cheirosa 40 contains black amber plum, vanilla woods and musk. I'd say it's the deepest scent in the perfume mist set, so I like to wear it in the evening. I can often still smell the spicy fragrance on my outfit the next morning.

Cheirosa 59 has notes of vanilla orchid, sugared violet and sheer sandalwood. After I spritzed it all over my body, clothes and hair, I instantly felt relaxed and energised, so I'd say it's definitely one to wear on days when you're feeling a little stressed and need uplifting.

Cheirosa 87 is described as smelling of coconut milk, tuberose and warm sand. The bright summery scent instantly transports me to the beach, so it's perfect to use as a daytime perfume on sunny days, or to bring some sunshine when the sky is grey.

Last but not least is Cheirosa 68. I've left this perfume mist until the end, as although I couldn't possibly pick my favourite scent as they're all so dreamy, Cheirosa 68 is the fragrance I've had the most compliments on. It has notes of Brazilian jasmine, pink dragon fruit and ocean air.

I have used the sweet scent a number of times since I bought the perfume mist discovery scent, and every time I've worn it, I've been complimented by family and friends as they've hugged me. I even had strangers compliment the fragrance when I went on a recent camping trip and sprayed Cheirosa 68 on myself in the ladies bathroom, with one woman asking me what the perfume was.

I would recommend the Sol de Janeiro Perfume Mist Discovery Set, as while one LookFantastic shopper found some of the scents to be 'a little overpowering', I think each one is absolutely gorgeous - it's a daily struggle to decide which one to use. There's no need to reapply the spray, as I find I can still smell the scent hours after applying a few spritzes in the morning.

Don't let the 30ml size of each bottle put you off, as although they're travel size, they will last a while as only a small amount is needed. I've been using them for nearly a month and each one still has more than three quarters of the bottle left, so they will see me through the summer and beyond. At this rate, I'll be sitting at the dinner table eating my Christmas roast smelling of summer in Brazil.

If you're not familiar with Sol De Janeiro's fragrances, the set is a great way to give them a try and find your favourite scent before buying a larger bottle with a heftier price tag. I personally think five travel size perfume mists for £40 is a bargain, with each bottle costing only £8. There are other perfume mists out there, however not many discovery sets like Sol de Janeiro's. Boots is selling the Hawaiian Tropic Coco Magic Body Mist for £12, while The White Company has a Seychelles Hair and Body Mist for £18. These alternatives, however, aren't inspired by Brazilian summers like Sol de Janeiro's are.
