TSB offers free £190 cash plus choice of reward including Odeon cinema tickets

The offer is available to new customers who switch to a TSB Spend & Save or Spend & Save Plus current account - but there are a few hoops you have to jump through first

TSB has launched a new switch offer

TSB has launched a new switch offer where you can get £100 cash upfront and £90 in cashback.

The offer is available to new customers who switch to a TSB Spend & Save or Spend & Save Plus current account. To get the £100, you need to make a minimum of five payments and log into the TSB Mobile Banking app at least once, by September 27. TSB will then pay the £100 between October 15, 2024 and October 25, 2024.

For the first six months, TSB is also offering triple cashback for new customers, so instead of earning £5 a month, you could earn £15 a month. In total, it means new customers can earn £90 over those six months. To get the cashback, you need to make 20 payments each month.

You need to have the TSB Spend and Save Plus account, which comes with a monthly fee of £3, to continue getting the cashback once it goes back down to £5. If you make 20 payments in March 2025, you’ll also be offered an extra reward. You’ll be able to choose from a one-night hotel stay for two, six Odeon cinema tickets, or a six-month Now Entertainment membership.

You won't be eligible for the cash reward if you've had a switch bonus from TSB since October 2022, and the switch must be completed within 21 days from request. New customers can apply through tsb.co.uk, in branch or in the TSB Mobile Banking app. Carys Barnes, Head of Personal Current Accounts at TSB, said: “This is a great opportunity for new customers to switch to a TSB current account and enjoy some fantastic benefits when they do.”

If you're not eligible for the TSB offer, Barclays is offering £175 free switch cash, access to its 5.12% linked saver on up to £5,000, plus Apple TV+ and Major League Soccer Season Pass subscriptions. You'll need to join the Barclays Blue Rewards scheme to get these perks, which does come with a £5 monthly fee - but until September, you can get £5 cashback.

This covers you for next month, but then after that, you'll have to decide whether to carry on paying the £5 monthly fee. You have to pay in at least £800 a month and register for digital banking to use Barclays Blue Rewards.
