Eugenie 'will not accept title for baby' as she and Beatrice 'want own lives' (original) (raw)

Mum-to-be Eugenie considers a royal title a 'curse' and she wants her children to have 'ordinary lives' it is claimed following her pregnancy announcement last week

Eugenie and Beatrice are cultivating family lives of their own

Princess Eugenie will not accept a title for her newborn as she and Beatrice create family lives of their own, it is claimed.

Eugenie, 30, and husband Jack Brooksbank, 34, broke the happy news of her pregnancy last week by posting a picture of bear slippers on Instagram.

The caption of the picture simply read: “Jack and I are so excited for early 2021…” and the baby emoji.

Now reports say the mum-to-be considers a title a "curse" and she wants her children to have "ordinary lives".

"Although Andrew was always pushing for them to have more royal responsibilities, all Bea and Eug have ever really wanted is to live their own lives, while supporting the Queen when the need arises," a source told the Telegraph.

The source added: "Of course they remain supportive of both their parents, but they have their own lives and careers and are keen to avoid being dragged into any controversy."

It comes as Beatrice reportedly told friends she plans to be a "doting stepmother" to stepson Christopher Woolf Mapelli Mozzi, from her husband's previous relationship with Dara Huang.

Reports say that since Beatrice and Edo married in an intimate ceremony in May, she has become a regular at little Wolfie's nursery.

An onlooker told the Telegraph she spotted them together recently.

The source said Beatrice welcomed him with a huge hug before taking his bag as he rode beside her on his scooter.

It was described as a "touching" moment and evident that she "dotes on him".

According to reports, Beatrice and Eugenie are determined to do things differently and keen to lower their profiles while prioritising their families.

Messages of congratulations flooded Eugenie's pregnancy announcement post, with some already speculating about whether the royal will give birth to a girl or a boy.

One on Instagram wrote: "Lovely news your royal highness! Nothing like a baby to bring some happiness into the world. I'll say a boy."
