Millions of people would love to take megastar Taylor Swift to dinner, but how would you feel about spending a day with a cardboard cut-out of the Bad Blood singer?

One footy fan knows all too well how such an outing would go after being forced to take a cardboard cut-out of Taylor Swift to dinner after coming last in Fantasy Football.

Unlucky Greig Dick and his date were both given a menu at a local restaurant in Motherwell, Scotland, where they were greeted by a grinning waitress. During a visit to a Casino, Greig also bet £22 on red, in tribute to the singer's hit album, and the pair later joined his mates for a pint in the pub.

The masterminds behind Greig's date devised the plan as a forfeit for coming last in his league. His pal, Gregor Sleith explained: "A boy in our team was in a Fantasy Football league with his mates.

"The lad who finished bottom for the year had to do a public forfeit. They made him sit at a table at a restaurant with a cut-out as a date."

However, fans reckon Greig lucked out with his company for the evening.

One replied: "Where do I sign up to be 'punished' by going on a date with a cut-out of Taylor Swift?"

Another joked: "Decent night out that. Cheap and quiet."

Someone thought: "This is amazing." Meanwhile, a different viewer revealed: "I've been on worse dates."

As to whether or not Greig enjoyed the evening that remains to be seen. But here's hoping there's no bad blood between the footy fan and his friends.

And if he dreams of meeting the superstar in person, he could be in luck, as Taylor Swift recently announced the dates for the UK and European leg of her The Eras Tour.

Swifties (aka Swift's superfans) all agree it's well worth watching, provided you can secure tickets that is.

Millions of people have already registered for the sale that will likely "result in a Hunger Games-style battle to the soul-crushing end," according to the Mirror's Courtney Pochin.
