Many pet owners would argue their animal companions are seriously intelligent and know exactly what they're up to when they're behaving in a cheeky way – and one woman's cat proves just that.

Social media star @meganchristiann regularly posts videos of her cat Monkey, who she's previously described as being her "entire world" and leaving TikTok users in stitches at what he manages to steal for her.

But Megan was no doubt left laughing all the way to her local convenience store with Monkey's latest find, as he managed to bag her a winning scratch card. The stunning amber-eyed feline nonchalantly climbed up to the window with the goods in his mouth as she said: "Monkey, where have you been, and what have you got?"

As Megan took the scratch card off Monkey, who has previously given her gifts such as tobacco and sanitary towels, she announced: "F**k off".

"Is it a winner though?" she asked her feline friend, as she looked at what had been scratched off, believing she'd won £5. But when she realised it was £10, she announced "Monkey!" because she had no idea who it belonged to.

In the comments, people found it hilarious, with one writing: "Bro sold his cat nip for a scratch card". Another penned: "See he’s providing for you. Very demure very mindful very caring".

Warning: The below video contains strong language some viewers may find offensive.

Someone else joked: "You need to put a cat cam on him to find out where he's finding all these treasures. Someone somewhere will think they have a ghost thief. He's brilliant".

"Good boy for paying rent - my cats don't", a pet owner penned. "He's earning his keep", someone added, "That's a good boy mine just p****s on my rug and scratches my sofa."
