Man Utd get huge double injury boost as Erik ten Hag bids to build on back-to-back wins
Manchester United's injury issues appear to have been slightly eased ahead of Crystal Palace as Rasmus Hojlund and Mason Mount trained on Wednesday ahead of the Selhurst Park trip
A thumbs up from Erik ten Hag
Manchester United received a majory injury boost as Rasmus Hojlund and Mason Mount were involved in training on Wednesday.
Hojlund has not featured at all in 2024/25 after picking up an injury in July during a pre-season friendly against Arsenal. The Denmark international suffered a hamstring injury that has ruled him out of the season thus far.
Mount meanwhile started in United's opening two matches in the Premier League and Community Shield clash with Manchester City. The former Chelsea star was forced off after 45 minutes against Brighton however, and has also been absent with a hamstring issue.
The news will come as a boost to Erik ten Hag ahead of his side's clash against Crystal Palace. Managing his squad's fitness will be at the forefront of the Dutchman's mind as his side began a period of six fixtures in 20 days with their win over Barnsley in the Carabao Cup.
That match saw eight changes but the Red Devils were still able to come away with a 7-0 victory. Ten Hag it appears, will be happy to have more bodies at his disposal.
"We have to rotate because we have loads of games and we have to manage the squad," he told Sky Sports on Tuesday. "You need everyone; you can't talk about a starting 11 players. You have to give all the players in the squad game time if they are available."
"We need all the players in the squad, we are in five leagues [competitions]," the ex-Ajax boss added. "We want to win but there is internal competition.

"We have to find out what is the best team, what is the best chemistry and this is a moment for some players to prove a point."
United's boss remains without Leny Yoro, Tyrell Malacia, Victor Lindelof and Luke Shaw due to injury. Ten Hag was coy in his recent prognosis for ex-Southampton defender Shaw.
"First, Luke Shaw, he’s progressing but not ready yet to be selected," he said earlier this week. "Of course, we have a plan in our head when he can be ready but you are always dependent on how the progress will go.
"You can’t think, you can’t make a suggestion [of a return date] because there are so many factors why a plan can accelerate or slow down."
