After weeks of anticipation, Samsung has finally launched its Galaxy Note 9 smartphone.

One of the key features that users look for in smartphones these days is water and dust resistance.

And thankfully, the Galaxy Note 9 is no exception.

The smartphone is both water and dust resistant, with a rating of IP68.

This means that the device is protected against dust, dirt and sand, and water resistant.

And it will survive in water at depths of up to 1.5 metres for up to 30 minutes.

While this probably means that you should refrain from swimming with the smartphone, it will definitely stand up against rain, or any spillages.

And the good news is that the new S-Pen stylus also carries an IP68 waterproof rating.

The new Note 9 was unveiled at the Samsung Unpacked event in New York alongside the Galaxy Watch and long-awaited Galaxy Home smart speaker.
