A look at the brand new Samsung Galaxy Note 9
Samsung has unveiled an updated version of its S-Pen stylus to go with its new Galaxy Note 9 smartphone.
The revamped S-Pen was announced at the Samsung Unpacked event in New York.
While the stylus originally began as a tool for writing and drawing, it's now capable of much more.
This is thanks to the addition of Bluetooth Low-Energy (BLE) support, which effectively turns the S-Pen into a remote control.
As a result. the stylus lets you take selfies and group pictures, present slides, pause and play video, and more with just a single click.
What's more, d evelopers can even integrate the S Pen’s new, advanced BLE functionalities into their apps later this year.
The Note 9 comes in Midnight Black and Lavender Purple with a matching S Pen, and Ocean Blue with a Yellow S Pen. There's also a Metallic Copper option, but this one doesn't appear to be coming to the UK.
The Samsung Galaxy Note 9 128GB unlocked price in UK £899 and Samsung Galaxy Note 9 512GB unlocked price in UK £1099 .
In comparison, the Note 8, which launched last year, costs £869.
Pre-order will open on August 9 at 5pm GMT.
