There are plenty of cheap return flights available ahead of the Easter holidays to destinations including the Republic of Ireland, France, Italy, Netherlands and Germany, as well as lots of package holiday offers

Families can bag themselves trips to Disneyland Paris and Majorca this Easter without breaking the bank, as well as a host of cheap return fights under £150 to destinations across Europe.

Even though the springtime holiday is just a month away, there are plenty of cheap plane tickets as well as package holidays on offer through lastminute.com which don't cost the Earth. Travel booking site Omio analysed Google Flights to reveal where in Europe you can fly to from London for a round trip for £200 or less. They found deals including:

• Dublin from £35: Ireland’s bustling capital, Dublin, is one of the cheapest place to travel to during the Easter weekend. The lowest cost non-stop round trip costs from £35 if you fly two days before Good Friday from a London airport.
• Amsterdam from £80: The ‘bicycle capital’ Amsterdam is the next cheapest destination, with a non stop trip costing from £80 With an average temperature of 10 degrees, it will feel like home, but better. Whether you want to see Amsterdam bloom by visiting the city's tulip festival, which runs till the 30 of April, or fancy tucking into some Dutch cuisine, there is something for everyone in Europe's clog capital.

• Paris from £72: Home to some of the most iconic landmarks in the world, Paris can be reached over the Easter weekend for just £72, if you fly out from London Gatwick on Saturday.
• Cologne from £145: Well known for its magnificent Gothic architecture, Cologne is one of Germany's history hotspots and is a great place to visit for those who love twin-spired cathedrals, sweeping river views and small cups of delicious wheaty beer. Feel like a true local and immerse yourself in German culture by visiting the markets and springtime festivals.
• Milan from £125: If you are looking for a slightly warmer holiday destination this Easter, this is the perfect destination to fly to. Fashion capital Milan nudges 20C in April, which is the perfect time to visit a city known for its beautiful springtime gardens and ice cream shops.

If you prefer not to build your own stay and like to leave it to someone else to sort out, then lastminute.com has plenty of deals on offer ahead of the Easter holidays.

The travel firm is currently selling three nights to the Dream Castle Hotel as well as entry to Disneyland Paris between 8 and 11 April 2024, from £239 per person, when two adults and two kids travel. That includes Includes 4* accommodation, economy flights from London Gatwick and breakfast.

Breaks to Barcelona are also up for grabs costing £269 per person between April 10 and 13, with a 4* stay in MH Apartments Tetuan along with economy flights from London Luton. Again, the price is for two adults and two kids.

The Spanish city is particularly beautiful in the springtime, when the weather sits around the low to mid 20C mark and the beaches and streets fill up again after the winter.

Similarly Rome is arguably at its nicest come April, with the Eternal City bright, airy and relatively free from the crowds which flock to the Coliseum and Pantheon in such large numbers during the high season. A three night stay in the Royal Court Hotel from April 11 to 14 can be yours for £ 359 per person based on a family of four. That price includes 4* accommodation and economy flights from London Stansted.

Another city which is far more pleasant to visit earlier in the season is Marrakech in Morocco. Typically the city enjoys highs of 25C in April, before the scorching heat of June and July makes visits to the bustling settlement a little overwhelming. Trips to the all-inclusive Aqua Mirage Club & Aqua Parc between April 9 and 13 are now available for £459 per person if two adults and two kids book together. That includes 4* accommodation and economy flights from London Gatwick.
