The BRIT Awards will return to ITV next year, with show bosses revealing that the 2025 awards will be record breaking as the Chair of the BRIT Committee hopes to 'go out with a bang'

The BRIT Awards will return to ITV in a primetime evening slot next year.

The prestigious awards will return to ITV1 and ITVX on Saturday 1st March 2025. BRIT Awards 2025 will take place live from The O2 arena.

Also announced today, Damian Christian, Managing Director and President of Promotions at Atlantic Records (part of Warner Music UK), will serve for his third and final year as Chair of the BRIT Committee for 2025. He said: “It is a privilege, once again, to chair The BRITs for the third and final time. I’m proud of the changes we’ve implemented and the results we’ve achieved over the last few years, and I’m looking forward to going out with a bang in March. Making sure we kept our Saturday night slot was our first priority, and now we've locked that in, we will work hard to make next year’s show one for the history books!"

The 2024 ceremony, hosted by Clara Amfo, Maya Jama and Roman Kemp, saw RAYE break BRITs records by sweeping the board with six awards. The singer-songwriter, 26, had already broken records with seven nominations.

RAYE scooped the biggest gongs of the night including, Song of the Year, Album Of The Year, Artist Of The Year, Songwriter of the Year, R&B Act and Best New Artist. The singer now holds the record for the most BRITs won at a single ceremony, beating the previous record of four, jointly held by Blur (1995), Adele (2016) and Harry Styles (2023).

Speaking to the BRITs audience after winning Album of the Year for My 21st Century Blues, RAYE said: "I’m ugly crying on national television! I’m so proud of this album, I’m in love with music — all I ever wanted to be was an artist." Elsewhere on the night, she said: "The artist I was three years ago would not believe I'm in control - I'm my own boss."

Kylie Minogue won the global icon award and performed a medley of her greatest hits. The Australian singer. who has sold more than 80 million records globally, was the first female artist to score a number one album in five consecutive decades in the UK.

"It's been 36 years and counting. What gets me is a love of music and connection with people," she said when collecting her award. "There's a part of me that's still a 14-year-old girl dreaming of making music. Thank you to anyone who's been part of my journey, you have my heart for ever and always."

On the night there were wins for Dua Lipa, Calvin Harris, Miley Cyrus, Bring Me The Horizon, CASISDEAD, Chase & Status, Jungle, boygenius, The Last Dinner Party, SZA and Miley Cyrus. The show saw live performances from Dua Lipa, Kylie Minogue, RAYE, Becky Hill X Chase & Status, Calvin Harris X Ellie Goulding, Rema, Tate McRae and Jungle.
