Another Jay Blades show appears to have been pulled by TV bosses
Channel 5 have appeared to remove a Jay Blades series from their platform after he was charged with engaging in controlling or coercive behaviour towards his estranged wife.
The TV presenter, who is best known for fronting BBC series The Repair Shop, appeared at Kidderminster Magistrates' Court on Friday. It came after Blades was charged by West Mercia Police with one count of engaging in controlling or coercive behaviour in an intimate or family relationship.
According to court documents, his charge relates to his fitness instructor wife Lisa-Marie Zbozen. She had announced on her Instagram page in May that their relationship was over following their Barbados wedding on November 22, 2022. The Mirror understands the BBC is not currently scheduling any programmes in which Blades features.
Yesterday, the corporation removed David & Jay's Touring Toolshed from its evening's schedule. It now appears Channel 5 have followed suit as his series Jay Blades: The West End Through Time is no longer available to watch on their streaming site My5. The two part series followed Blades as he explored the origins of the West End.

On Friday, Blades' series with actor Sir David Jason, was due to air at 8pm but was replaced by a "shortened version" of Charlie Dimmock's show Garden Rescue. Blades last appeared on air on Wednesday as part of The Repair Shop.
The show was nominated for the National Television Awards this week, but was beaten by The Chase. Blades will appear at Worcester Crown Court for a plea and trial preparation hearing on October 11. In a statement, West Mercia Police said: "54-year-old Jason Blades of Wolverhampton has been charged with controlling and coercive behaviour. He appeared at Kidderminster Magistrates Court this morning (Friday 13th September) and has been bailed to appear at Worcester Crown Court on Friday 11th October.
"The charges follow the launch of an investigation after we were called to an address on 3rd May." Blades was appointed Member of the Order of the British Empire (MBE) in the 2021 Birthday Honours, for services to craft. He is best known for his work on the BBC series The Repair Shop and is set to front an upcoming Channel 5 series titled Jay Blades: A Country House Through Time.
In addition to being a series regular on The Repair Shop has also starred in numerous documentaries, including fifteen-part series David & Jay's Touring Toolshed and a recent Channel 4 feature with Dame Judi Dench, called Dame Judi & Jay: The Odd Couple. Lisa confirmed their break-up on social media on May 2 this year. She said: "I don’t know how to say this because it’s still really raw," before adding: "I probably should be really angry but I’m just incredibly sad about the whole thing right now."
