2020

2016

Appeared in his third career postseason, and his first since 2009 with PHI… Made two starts, going 1-1, while tossing 5.0 innings in each outing. Matched his season-high with nine hits allowed in game two of the ALDS at TEX, however allowed only one run over 5.0 IP…Earned the win, marking his first career postseason victory...The opposition posted a .302 average off of him in the playoffs, the third highest mark by a Blue Jays pitcher in a single postseason in club history, trailing only Al Leiter (.372) and Doyle Alexander (.318)....Set career-highs in wins (20), innings pitched (195.0) and stikeouts (163)..His 3.18 ERA was his lowest since 2009 (2.93)...Became the 6th different TOR pitcher (8th time) to win 20 games in a season & 1st since Roy Halladay won 20 in 2008...Joined David Wells as the only two lefthanded pitchers in club history to record 20 wins in a season...Reached 20 wins for the first time in his 10-year career...The only other pitcher to reach 20 wins in a season for the first time in his 10th season (or later) while pitching for the Blue Jays was David Wells (20-8 in 2000; 14th year in the major leagues)...Earned his 19th win of the season on Sept. 15 at LAA...Improved his record to a then 26-5 mark over his last 38 starts dating back to August 19 of last season...The only other active pitchers who earned 26 or more wins over a 38-start span are Jake Arrieta (29), Justin Verlander (28), Clayton Kershaw (27), Max Scherzer (26), Chien-Ming Wang (26), Gio Gonzalez (26) and Ubaldo Jimenez (26)...Had his 11-game win streak snapped on August 25 vs. LAA (lost 3-6)....It was T-3rd longest win streak in club history (Clemens - 15 in '98 & Halladay - 15 in '03)...Retired 13 consecutive batters entering the 6th, however did not record another out after the first five batters reached in the inning...Allowed 4+ER in back-to-back starts for just the 2nd time this year...Was the first pitcher in the Majors to reach 15 wins in 2016 after his victory Aug. 4 at HOU. 2015

Went 11-8 with a 3.61 ERA in 32 total games (31 starts) between Seattle and Pittsburgh. Set career highs in starts, innings pitched (172.0) and strikeouts (151). Went 7-2 with a 1.85 ERA in his 11 starts with the Pirates, losing both games to the Cubs. His 1.37 ERA from August 8, through the end of the season was the second-lowest in the Major Leagues behind Jake Arrieta (0.49). Began season with Seattle, where he received two runs of support or less when he was in the game in 12 of his 20 starts and had 10 of the 20 decided by one run...Went 3-1 with a 3.31 ERA in his first 11 starts thru June 5. Matched a Mariners record by allowing two runs or fewer in each of his first six home starts from April 17-June 5 (matched Joel Pineiro's streak from July 26, 2001 to May 10, 2002). Snapped a streak of 14 consecutive home starts, dating back to July 22, 2014, of allowing no more than three runs after giving up four runs vs. Detroit on July 8. Was optioned to Class A Bakersfield on July 9 but did not appear in a game before being recalled on July 20. Threw 1.0 perfect inning in his only relief appearance on July 27 vs. Arizona (his first appearance out of the bullpen since July 12, 2014 at Tampa Bay while pitching for Toronto). Was acquired by Pittsburgh on July 31 in exchange for minor league pitcher Adrian Sampson. Won five straight starts for the Pirates and posted a 0.88 ERA between August 19 and September 9. Struck out a season-high 10 batters on September 9 at Cincinnati - his fourth career game with 10 or more K's.

2014

Made 26 starts, his most since a career-high 28 in 2011... Recorded 11 wins, second time in his career with double-digits in wins (12 in 2009 with PHI)... Struck out a career-high 12 batters in 8.0 innings Aug. 7 vs. Baltimore…most strikeouts by a Toronto starter since Aug. 17, 2001 (Morrow - 12)... In 13 starts following the All-Star break, posted a 3.56 ERA (4.91 ERA prior) with 18walks and 69 strikeouts... Allowed LH hitters to bat .268 vs. .259 for RH batters…over past two sea-sons has allowed LH hitters to bat .284 while holding RH batters to a .248 mark... Began the season in the bullpen, making three relief appearances before beinginserted into rotation for balance of season... Opened the season on the 15-day disabled list with a strain in his back…made rehabstarts at A Dunedin and AAA Buffalo before making season debut April 17. at Minnesota

2013

Suffered a skull fracture and sprained knee when struck by a ball off of the bat of Desmond Jennings on May 7 at TB... Missed three months primarily due to the knee injury. Pitched six or more innings in five of his 18 starts. Used 18.6 pitches per inning, the most on the staff and 2nd most in the majors...Only Lucas Harrell of the Astros used more at 18.7. Following his return from his skull fracture/sprained knee, posted a 4.37 ERA (59.2IP/29ER) in 11 starts. Had reverse splits in 2013, allowing left-handed hitters to bat .304 against him while righties hit .229. Since joining the Blue Jays in July 2012, has made 24 starts, going 8-9 with a 4.57 ERA, averaging just under 5.1 innings per start, although has registered a rate of 8.3 strikeouts per nine innings. Made five rehab starts prior to his return on August 7, one in the GCL (rookie), one in Dunedin (A) and three in Buffalo (AAA)...In total was 0-2 with a 4.22 ERA (21.1IP, 21H, 10ER, 8BB, 20K).

2012

Combined to go 10-11 with a 4.79 ERA in 28 games, including 24 starts between Houston and Toronto... Won 10 or more games for the second time in his career... In his 28 starts, team was 13-15 and 3-3 as a Blue Jay... Posted 14 quality starts...Was acquired by Toronto from Houston on July 20 in a 10-player deal...Made four relief appearances for the Blue Jays after being acquired, posting a 5.14 ERA, despite holding opponents to a .200 average... As a starter with Toronto made six starts going 3-2 with a 4.59 ERA, holding the opposition to a .244 average...With Toronto struck out 46 batters in 40.1 innings for a 10.3 strikeout per nine total, becoming one of two Blue Jays pitchers to post a strikeout per nine total of more than 10 (min 40IP) along with Jason Frasor (10.92)...Performs much better after the All-Star break, going 4-2 with a 4.05 ERA as opposed to 6-9 with a 5.14 ERA prior to the break... In his career is now 19-14 with a 3.80 ERA prior to the break and 16-21 with a 4.55 ERA after...Posted a career high with 144 strikeouts... On Aug. 17 vs. TEX recorded six consecutive strikeouts... The mark tied a Blue Jays record done twice previously by Ted Lilly in 2004 and Mark Rzepczynski in 2010... Posted 10 strikeouts on May 27 at LAD, matching a career high...In his final start with Toronto fanned nine Orioles on Sept. 3...Had his season end prematurely with a right foot fracture and had surgery following his Sept. 3 start.

2011

Set career highs in starts and strikeouts (134) after beginning the season as the Astros fourth starter...spent most of the season with the Astros but missed three turns in the rotation after being optioned to Triple A OKC from Aug. 6-24...after his return, went 2-1 with a 2.43 ERA (10ER/37IP), while recording quality starts in five of six outings...allowed only a .175 (22x126) opponent's batting average in that time span....prior to being optioned, went 4-14 with a 6.26 ERA (83ER/119.1IP) in 22 starts...had three months this season with sub-4.00 ERAs (May, Aug., Sept.) and three with plus-6.00 marks (April, June, July)...hit .389(7x18) with one home run and four RBI in his first 11 games from April 5-May, 29...entered this season with four career hits in 77 at-bats for an .052 avg...in his three turns in the rotation at OKC, went 1-0 with a 1.50 ERA (3ER/18IP) with 16 strikeouts in 18 innings.
