ERE Informatique - MobyGames (original) (raw)

In 1983, Philippe Ulrich and Emmanuel Viau formed ERE Informatique, one of France's first videogame publishers. They had a string of hits over the next eight years, including Macadam Bumper, Bubble Ghost, Teenage Queen and Crafton & Xunk (a.k.a. Get Dexter!).

They also launched the short-lived science-fiction label Exxos in 1988, which was responsible for their biggest hit, Captain Blood.

Despite its success, ERE suffered constant financial difficulties and was bought out by Infogrames in 1987.

In 1989, most of its key developers left to form Cryo Interactive.
