Spaying or neutering isn't covered under any MORE THAN pet insurance cover levels. This is something you'll need to budget for yourself. Your vet will be able to advise when your pet can be spayed or neutered, and how much it costs.
With MORE THAN, dental treatment is covered under our 3 cover levels:
- Basic and Classic cover: includes cover for dental care if teeth or gums are damaged in an accident
- Premier cover*: includes cover for dental care if teeth or gums are damaged in an accident. It also covers vet fees for dental care up to £2,000, if your dog has a dental check every 12 months and the necessary work is completed
*Dental care up to £2,000. Your pet must have a dental check every 12 months.
After your pet has had their first check and any necessary work has been completed, we pay for treatment for tooth decay or gum disease that occurs before the next 12-month check or at the time of the next check.
- For teeth or gums that have been damaged in an accident
- If an underlying illness causes tooth decay or gum disease
- To remove teeth to treat an illness that is not gum disease or tooth decay

You can still get pet insurance, but MORE THAN insurance will not cover pre-existing conditions. These are health issues, concerns, illnesses and injuries that you or your vet were aware of before you took out the policy.
Our pet insurance covers diabetes if the illness develops while your pet is insured with us. This is up to the policy limits. If the diabetes is pre-existing, this would not be covered by MORE THAN insurance.

You are covered for the cost of vet fees under your policy, subject to the amount of vet fees and whether the condition is covered under your policy. But the amount you can claim depends on whether you have a basic, classic or premier policy, and is subject to the terms and conditions of your policy.
