A Home of One’s Own

Writer Erwin Mortier returns to his former workplace after 30 years and once again delves into the depots of the Museum Dr. Guislain. A Home of One’s Own proudly displays a diverse selection of preserved artifacts, including photographs, books, artwork, archives and more.

The permanent exhibition Unhinged is closed since february 2026.

Theatermaker Barbara Claes wil graag met een groepje kinderen en jongeren vzw Missing you een lied schrijven over missen. Andere kinderen en jongeren (5-15 jaar) die iemand moeten missen, zijn ook heel welkom om mee aan te sluiten. We gaan schrijven aan een tekst die we op een later moment gaan componeren tot een lied.

Before the first missiles were even launched, dozens of works by Iranian artists had already found a quiet home in our art storage. While today’s headlines focus on power and conflict, we have long been looking toward the unbreakable imagination and radical desire for peace shown by individuals.
