WINCHESTER — City Council is scheduled to meet at 7 p.m. today in City Hall, 5 E. Market St.
Among items on the agenda are:

- Discussion by Jim Scott on Scott County cleanup day.
- Update on pool from Bill Jacquot and discussion about additional lifeguards.
- Update on dog pound from Jeff Pittman.
- Discussion with Superintendent of Public Works John Simmons on the purchase of a Welcome to Winchester sign, the purchase of a new city mower, the purchase of a truck for the water plant operator, and superintendent's pay.
- Appointment by Mayor Rex McIntire of Steve Northrup to replace Roger Pratt on the library board, and update on progress of Lincoln statue.
- Discussion with City Attorney John Paul Coonrod on annual appropriations ordinance and update on municipal court.
The council also is expected to meet in closed session to discuss employee wages.
