Amazon has massively slashed the price of the Harry Potter book collection. Originally £70, you can now get all seven books as paperbacks for £36.

Meanwhile, the hardbacks are £79.99 down from £115. You can also get the paperback book collection from The Works for £40 and eBay for £54.40.

There are seven books in the series. All titled ' Harry Potter and the', they are as follows: Philosopher's Stone, Chamber of Secrets, Prisoner of Azkaban, Goblet of Fire, Order of the Phoenix, Half-Blood Prince, Deathly Hallows.

Written by JK Rowling, the famous series has a huge following online. It follows the story of Harry Potter, an 11-year-old orphan living a miserable life with his aunt, uncle, and nephew.

His life changes when he receives a letter informing him of his acceptance to Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry. He embarks on a magical journey, and faces many dangers.

As the series progresses, Harry grows up to learn of the darkness in the wizarding world. First published in 1997, the books became a worldwide phenomenon adapted into a hugely successful franchise.

There are video games and a live-action TV show currently in development. A play titled Harry Potter and the Cursed Child has been running on the West End since 2016 (tickets are available on TodayTix, ATG, and London Theatre Direct ), and London is home to the Warner Bros Studio Tour that explores the filming of the series.

The paperback collection has 4.9 stars on Amazon from 36,446 reviews. One person said: "They are magnificent! They come sealed then inside you have the casing for the future life of the books.
